Day 1 - Arrival
- Arrive at the hospital for admission.
- Complete necessary paperwork and registration.
Day 2 - Pre-Operation
- Consultation with a surgical oncologist.
- Consultation with an anesthesiologist.
- Pre-operative tests include blood tests, chest X-Ray, and ECG.
- Additional tests might involve MRI or CT scan if needed.
Day 3 - Pancreatic Cancer Surgery
- The procedure starts early in the morning.
- You will be sedated using general anesthesia.
- The surgery might last between 2 to 6 hours.
- Post-surgery, you will be moved to the recovery room.
Day 4 to 7 - Post-Operation
- You will be monitored in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Pain management and wound care will be provided.
- Nutrition advice will be given by a dietitian.
Week 1 to 3 - Rehabilitation
- Physical therapy will begin in the first week.
- Light activities can be resumed by the second week.
- A follow-up appointment with the surgeon in the third week.
Week 4 to 6 - Return to Normal Activities
- Gradual return to work is possible by the fifth week.
- A return to sports or strenuous activities by the sixth week.
- Complete recovery and final results may take several months.
