What patients like

  1. Osteoarthritis treatment efficacy. Poland offers innovative Osteoarthritis treatments such as one-compartment knee prosthesis, standard knee prosthesis, and custom-made prosthesis. These methods are known for their high success rates.
  2. Doctor’s professionalism. Polish doctors are known for their high level of expertise in Osteoarthritis treatment. They are part of reputable medical organizations and have performed numerous successful surgeries.
  3. Cost. The Osteoarthritis treatment cost in Poland ranges from €8,500 to €13,700. Compared to other countries, such as the US where the cost can go up to €30,000, Poland offers more affordable treatment options.
  4. Service level. Patients appreciate the comprehensive service that includes laboratory tests, doctors' fees, medical supplies and prostheses, hospital stay, and physiotherapy.
  5. Logistics. Poland offers efficient logistics, with the possibility to arrange all diagnostic tests within 1-2 working days. Also, patients can have a teleconsultation with the specialist.

What patients don’t like

  1. Waiting time. There can be a waiting time for custom-made prostheses, which could be around 2 months. This may not suit patients seeking immediate treatment.
  2. Language barrier. Some patients may face language barriers as not all medical staff may be fluent in English or other foreign languages.
  3. Travel costs. For international patients, additional travel and accommodation costs can add to the overall expense of the treatment.

We asked for help in conducting arthroscopy at the Holy Family Clinic in Rzeszow (Poland). She was promptly admitted, on the same agreed day she was admitted to the hospital, and the next morning she was operated on. According to local patients, this is a highly professional clinic, especially the traumatology department. The only small minus is the long wait for the response of the clinic itself to record the appointment. It seemed that the clinic was not very interested. But when my husband and I got there, we realized that the influx of patients is very high. For this reason, they carefully choose the doctor, the day of the consultation, the MRI, in order to meet the minimum length of the patient's stay in the clinic. We also want to express our gratitude to the Bookimed team. Without her constant support, we would not have been able to achieve anything. Thank you very much! To all who are sick, a speedy recovery!
