Doctor Bendeck is a General Practitioner as well as a Family and an Emergency Doctor. He has been working in Gibraltar and in Andalucía since 2014. In his career, he has worked for ‘Doctors Without Borders’ (Médicos Sin Fronters-MSF) in some twenty countries. I did part of my training as a psychiatrist at Zucker Hillside Hospital in New York, where I participated in several research studies on first episodes of schizophrenia. I liked the American experience so much that I decided to take the necessary exams to validate my medical degree in the United States, which I did.I finally established my residence in my homeland and have been living on the Costa del Sol since 2016, where I practice as an adult, adolescent and child psychiatrist. For a few years I was combining work in the public and private sector, but since May 2022 I decided to dedicate myself completely to the private sector, which allows me more freedom to train and dedicate myself to my passion, as I love my job.I continue to train and study to keep up to date, because when you study what you love, studying is effortless.The most recent training courses I have completed are the master’s degree in Legal and Forensic Psychiatry at the Complutense University of Madrid, the master’s degree in Medical Management and Direction at the University of Barcelona, and the expert in child and adolescent psychiatry, which is a postgraduate course at the University of Barcelona.I have national and international publications on various topics, and I have participated as a lecturer in many courses and activities for psychiatry and psychology residents, medical students and fellow psychiatrists. I actively participate in all of them.
