At Hadassah Medical Center physicians address thyroid cancer in the Oncology Department. To cure patients with thyroid cancer oncologists utilize radioiodine courses, chemo-, radio-, targeted therapy, and surgical removal of the thyroid gland.
In case of thyroidectomy or iodine therapy, hospitalization period is up to 1 month. Advanced cases of cancer require chemo- or radiotherapies performed on an outpatient basis. Full course may last up to 6 months.
