Born in Brazil and raised in Germany, Dr. Benson graduated from the University of Hamburg – Germany (UKE – Universitätsklinik Eppendorf Hamburg). His German medical degree has been revalidated by the University of São Paulo (USP). He completed his education in Germany, and has been granted the Specialist Certificate in Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery by the German government. Dr. Benson worked as a Plastic Surgeon in large medical centers in Brazil and abroad while attending his graduate program. He worked as an on-call doctor for the plastic surgery team at the Emergency Room of HC-FMUSP and attended several plastic surgery services in Germany as a fellow. He practiced for years as a Specialist in Plastic Surgery, responsible for the training and continuing education of plastic surgeons at the Klinikum München Bogenhausen in Munich (one of the largest plastic surgery institutions in Europe), where he focused his learning on the safety and details of plastic surgery. Dr. Benson has a Ph.D. degree (Ph.D. – Doctor of Medicine) from the University of Hamburg, Germany, and a Ph.D. degree in Medicine from the Universidade de São Paulo – USP (University of São Paulo). After the revalidation of his foreign education and successful qualification in his practice, he is the only Plastic Surgeon in Brazil with a Specialist Certificate granted by the European Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Alexandre Charão is an award-winning plastic surgeon based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
