Education
Graduated from the Complutense University of Madrid with a degree in medicine; he was awarded a scholarship and continued his studies in the USA
1978-1980 — has learned plastic surgery and aesthetics at the University of California and at the university hospitals of San Diego, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
Achievements
Cosmetic breast surgery. In 1980 he founded the first Breast Reconstruction Unit in Spain, located at the Madrid hospital, La Paz, pioneering in breast reconstruction techniques.
Facial rejuvenation. Dr. Pérez de la Romana performs facelifts and blepharoplasty by inserting fat, achieving the most up-to-date and complete results.
Treatment of obesity. In 2005, Dr. Pérez de la Romana created a new unit at his clinic, focused on the personalized treatment of obesity. Every year the Pérez de la Romana Institute organizes a training course for young plastic surgeons who specialize in obesity treatment.
