All the staff of the clinic, above and beyond praise!
My son (17 years old) underwent septoplasty, correction of nasal septum. Dr Selman Sarica was very attentive, friendly and professional! All the staff of the clinic, above and beyond praise! Nurses, interpreters and of course Dr Selman, all worked professionally, quickly and smoothly. The clinic itself is very large, works in different areas, clean spacious rooms, the room has a shower, toilet, all bathroom accessories. I accompanied my son, for me also in the ward was a full place to sleep and rest, with bed linen, also provided meals. Thank you for your work! Elena))) Read more less

To say that I was shocked by the doctor's approach to treatment is to say nothing. My impressions to you, just do not wish to experience. The operation was agreed in advance counselling and my wishes. The day of the operation came. In the morning I was picked up from the hotel and with an interpreter, I went through all the analyses. On the question when I will have a meeting with the doctor I was told at 9 am then I pointed out that I am allergic to one drug. But they wouldn't give me any medication before the operation without the doctor's consent. When I was already changed clothes for the operation ( I apologise myself in underwear, in an operating gown ) came the doctor and began to explain to me on his hands that it can not be like this, as I want and he sees it all differently. He began to explain to me with his fingers how it will be. Interrupting the interpreter. The interpreter couldn't keep up with the translation. Hurrying me to make a decision. I replied that I couldn't make a decision without seeing any pictures of what was waiting for me. Then after about an hour of dialogue, the doctor corrected the curvature of my nose on the telephoto in front of me and said here's what awaits you and covered the tip of my nose with his hand. Again we heard my refusal, to which I was told there is no time and I have to make a decision. They told me there was no time and I had to make a decision. My wishes were ignored. What was agreed upon before the operation was changed. My wishes were to correct the curvature and to change and reduce the tip of the nose. The result of the operation is that the curvature was not corrected and the septum remained the same. But the cartilage was grown on the side, which I did not ask for at all, and the nose was visually enlarged and the tip was corrected. Now I'm just shocked with my appearance to say the least. Everything was done at the discretion of the doctor. He ignored all my wishes. Putting me in front of the fact. Without showing me a single photo of what's in store for me. Explaining it to me on my fingers. Read more less

But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts
I liked everything overall. Initially, I was very afraid, starting with the flight to another country, the transfer to the hotel and the operation itself. But the calmness and poise of the doctor and his team completely dispelled my doubts. 5 hours after the operation I returned to the hotel. Which is also very good because the hospital ward is the worst for me. Exactly after a week I took off the splint, my nose was still swollen. The nose is proportional to my face. When the swelling goes down it will be smaller Read more less

Bookimed! Türkiye! You have won me over! What a pity that I didn’t know before that everything could be like this!
Many thanks to Bookimed for the opportunity to meet different specialists and clinics in Turkey, compare, read reviews, and study information in an understandable language. It’s hard to even imagine how much time, financial and professional costs it took for the creators to make the information so accessible and complete for the patient. Thank you for your work and choosing such a useful niche as this! It is so important for the patient to be able to communicate with the manager at any time: to talk, consult, discuss personal issues and possible risks. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Before finding you, I had experience communicating with two organizations that provide services in the field of medical tourism, but unfortunately, commerce and the desire to sell specific specialists without options is alarming and does not inspire confidence at all. On the other hand, I’m even glad that I had such a short communication experience, especially since I was able to evaluate the capabilities of Bookimed! I understand that for the reader my review may be similar to an ode of praise, but as they say, “you can’t erase words from a song.”))) Therefore, I can only continue to talk about how it was in my specific case. Thanks to the Khizar clinic for a luxurious spacious room with floor-to-ceiling windows, an additional sofa for visitors, as well as delicious meals three times a day. It would seem difficult to surprise us with high-quality Turkish service in a hotel, but when your stay in the clinic is exactly the same as in a hotel, it is much more valuable at a time when you are absolutely alone in a foreign country and your physical capabilities are temporarily limited. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail: it so happened that I arrived for the operation unaccompanied, with a small backpack. This was extremely important for me: everything I could need was provided or was already available in my favorite room opposite the reception. The operation was scheduled for the afternoon, so the most difficult time was at night. The nurse who was on night duty did a tremendous job and until 6 am did everything as required according to the protocol after the operation. Yes, you can say, how could it be otherwise, you paid the money and it should be so, but you and I know very well that no one has canceled the human factor, and patients in this state after surgery cannot always read carefully in English doctor's recommendation language. Therefore, I send rays of love to this Great Man!!! Every 40 minutes He applied cold compresses, fed me even at night, and then took me for a walk along the long corridor of the clinic. This is an invaluable experience for me, not only because it is important for rehabilitation and health, but also for my personal faith in people. Low bow to the doctor for his professionalism, ability to listen to the patient and a high-quality operation. I would also like to thank Gulshirin Beshimova for the opportunity to make my stay in Turkey as comfortable as possible. Just as theater begins with a coat rack, so in my case Istanbul greeted me with a friendly smile from the driver and a luxurious car. It is impossible not to mention Alpay. I’ve been driving for 20 years, but I’ve never seen anyone pay such attention to the car and the passengers sitting in the back seat: TV, music from all over the world, water of different temperatures, drinks, napkins, a footrest for comfortable feet, and even a fresh bouquet of herbs to scent the salon! My applause!!! Bookimed! Türkiye! You have won me over! What a pity that I didn’t know before that everything could be like this! She curtsied. Your Eva❤️ Read more less

We really liked the boat trip along the Bosphorus, we were only in the 2nd with my husband on a yacht for an hour, we looked at the city from the water, it was very beautiful)))About the Doctor: First, we asked the doctor's opinion about my nose, what he would advise, and his recommendations
Hello! To begin with, I want to say that 95% of everything was as described in the package of our services. But overall, I was satisfied. About the hospital room. I had 1 migration in a ward in a hospital. Everything was at a high level, my husband spent the night with me, next to me on the couch, and I was on a special regulating hospital bed. Very well fed, various mashed soups, yoghurts, buns, rice with meat, and other dishes that are very tasty for hospital food. Brought 3-4 times a day, on trays. I really liked how often the nurses came to see me. Either they brought a compress, then they measured the pressure, then the temperature. It was very nice that they really care about you. We liked the doctor even when we phoned for a familiar place to discuss my nose. This was a couple of weeks before arriving in Istanbul. First, we asked the doctor's opinion about my nose, what he would advise, and his recommendations. They told me what I don’t like about my nose most of all, what needs to be fixed exactly. We asked all our questions, discussed the nose, and came to the decision that the doctor would perform the operation in a closed way without external incisions, which was important for me! Our package. The price included: surgery, anesthesia, operating linen, consultation, medicines after surgery, 6 overnight stays at the hotel with breakfast, 1 night in the hospital, a boat trip along the Bosphorus, transfer everywhere. We really liked the boat trip along the Bosphorus, we were only in the 2nd with my husband on a yacht for an hour, we looked at the city from the water, it was very beautiful))) The doctor sent a bouquet of flowers, after the operation, I was very pleased! We were always taken by car, airport, hotel, hospital, doctor's practice. The hotel is good, 6 transfers were included in the price of our package. So far, I can’t give a 100% review about the nose, but in a month you will already see how the nose looks. In the meantime, I just got turundas, and I go with a fixative and plasters. I look forward to when I can already examine my nose, and when the swelling, bruises subside and I can breathe. I am glad that I chose this clinic, this doctor and decided to take this step. It was the most difficult, and the operation went quickly. More afraid than they did. Thank you for the good level of qualification of the doctor, for the good service and attitude towards customers. In brief I can say that this Bookimed.com from my side does not deserve a lot of trust they have changed the price two or three times, and especially offensive that the last time it was changed before the operation in 20 minutes is when you have not eaten almost since 18.00 yesterday came to the clinic already lunch waiting for the operation. and you say the price has increased by 15% you agree, well where to go, to look for a new clinic time is needed and accommodation, if for example they said for a day I 100% refused and so run with things not everyone wants. Plus after the operation and with them to contact was difficult they responded to messages if possible and the next day or even a day later if it was a day off. And I will add that at the end you got a bigger nose than you wanted, although they assured it was swelling. Well, it's been more than a month and you can see not a big curvature even, as it was before. I don't know if it'll go away in a year, but that's a long time. I know that people in other clinics have had rhinoplasty and are happy with their nose after a week and every day more and more, but here, according to them, the nose will become like the photo only in a year. I liked my doctor and translator. The doctor had a kind and reassuring energy to him. There were two things that bothered me about the experience. One was having to wait several hours past my scheduled consultation with him after a 16 hr travel period after being brought directly to the hospital. The second was being told they may have to harvest cartilage from my ear or rib minutes before my surgery after being told they would not have to do that during the consultation. That really stressed me out. They wound up not having to do that but it made me feel like they had not prepared properly. That being said, the surgery went well and I’m happy with the results so far. I’m posting this only a week and a half from my surgery date but so far, so good.

Honestly, my surgeon (Dr Atilla Eyuboglu) was amazing, he was experienced and empathetic. The nurses were lovely and supported me throughout my recovery. The translator went above and beyond and arranged all my transport and answered all my questions. My experience has been amazing and I’m in love with the results of my breast augmentation! The surgeon listened to me and they look amazing. I was initially worried going abroad, but I’m glad I did my experience was so positive and worry free. Even down to arranging the appointment through bookimed, they would chase things up for me and support me through booking it. I have already recommended this process and hospital to friends, and would definitely go back again!

Before reading this review I want to make is completely clear that Dr. Ozenlap did a fantastic job. He was always present for anything that happened before and after the surgery. His team are amazing and kind. They take the time to help you. After leaving I have contacted him a few times and he responds right away with voice messages. Returning to Canada my post op nurse said my tummy tuck was one of the best she has seen done in Turkey. I would recommend contacting his clinic directly to arrange a consult and/or surgery as I will when I come for additional services. I highly recommend him. I had dealt with Zeneyp through the entire process and she was really helpful but as the date of my arrival approached it was just a bit more difficult. I did land in Istanbul on April 21st to do some traveling beforehand. A few days before I was to leave I followed up with her about my transportation from the airport. She told me it was too early (4 days) to set up the group chat. I then checked in with her the night before I flew out where I got the information. During our messages I confirmed with Zeneyp what my check in and out days would be since I was there a few days before hand. She confirmed I would check out April 24th and return on April 27th to the hotel (as outlined in my iteintery) I messaged the group chat on the 23rd asking when I would be picked up and was told I was not being picked up until the day of surgery of April 25th. I was ultimately charged for this date. When being admitted to the hospital on the 25th I was informed that the anesthesiologist would not go ahead because of the Lithium I take without it being in my system. One of my first messages with Zeneyp was the medications that I take. I was even asked to clarify my use of another medication so I know thought these would be recorded during the intake. While Canada will operate I understand that Turkey does not. If I had been made aware of this I would have received guidance from my doctor if I needed to stop the medication before I left for Turkey. Brining this up to Zeneyp she said that the anesthesiologist doesn’t know beforehand and this is how it works. I am certain that a surgeon and anesthesiologist would look at a file before preforming a surgery, like when it gets approved by the surgeon. Not when they’re walking into the hospital. Notifying the surgeon, etc of meds would have been her job and I Would be pretty confident that she erred in this. I would make sure that all your medications are checked before you leave for the long travel to Turkey so you are not delayed or worse yet, turned away. I was originally scheduled for a tummy tuck with Dr. Emre Ozanlap on April 25th, which was then delayed to April 28th because information about medication I take was not given to him prior to my arrival in Turkey. I was not provided with any reason on why there is no discussion between medical professionals prior to a decent size surgery. No matter how I tried to get a better explanation she would not give me one. This ended up with me having to pay an extra 3 days for the hotel (6 if we include both of the hospital arrival dates that were outlined) and a new flight home. **surgery happens** A couple days after my operation I go for my check up and your medical coordinator, Hisham, asked me about if I was getting lymphatic massages and was surprised I hadn’t been offered any. I was then contacted by Zenyep afterwards and set one up. During my initial massage the nurse was getting my incision tape contaminated (proper health measures were taken by her). I asked if this was ok and she said yes. I scheduled one for the next day and when the nurse saw the dirty tape she got on the phone with Zenyep. They spoke in Turkish so I don’t know what was said. The nurse fully took off my tape and told me Zeneyp would come by sometime with tape and I agreed I could re tape it once I got it. I waited a while and touched base with her with no response so I went and found a pharmacy for the tape because I flew out in a couple hours and did not want my incision just open. I later received a message that it was Sunday and the pharmacy’s were closed. Upon me telling her I just left a pharmacy she told me it was her day off. She was prepared to have me leave with an open incision while traveling over 18 hours. That was my last interaction with her. During the whole entire time she was never was accountable, apologetic or even empathetic. Always dodging any questions for clarification but basically saying “this is the way” The lack of due diligence by her or Doctor K Clinic as a whole could have left me in a worse situation physically than the inconvenience of the financial situation I find myself in. I do not recommend using their service for booking your surgeries. PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THE ABOVE REVIEW OF DR. OZENLAP.

I underwent Gamma Knife surgery on my trigeminal nerve at Medical Park Clinic and I would like to express my huge gratitude to all the medical staff and especially to the professor who performed the procedure. The operation was difficult, as it involved the trigeminal nerve and there was a risk of injury to nearby nerves. However, thanks to the professionalism and high qualifications of the professor, everything went well. He performed the procedure with jewellery precision, minimising possible risks and ensuring an excellent result. The Medical Park clinic also impressed with its high level of service, attentive attitude to patients and modern technological base. I felt in safe hands from the moment of consultation to the end of the rehabilitation period. I would recommend this clinic and especially the professor to anyone who needs treatment related to trigeminal nerve. Thank you for your work and care!
