I had an extremely frustrating experience at the hospital . None of the staff spoke English, which made it nearly impossible to communicate my concerns and questions. To make matters worse, they refused to accept card payments, and instead, they provided third-party payment details, which raised a huge financial red flag for me. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay a deposit of $200 in cash, which I later found out was non-refundable. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. It left me feeling both financially and emotionally distressed, and I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Clear communication and fair payment practices are fundamental aspects of any healthcare facility, and this hospital failed miserably in both regards. In addition to the communication and payment issues, I must mention that the hospital was located in a completely unsuitable area for tourists. This made the overall experience even more distressing. Visitors to a foreign country expect medical facilities to be accessible and accommodating, but this hospital was situated in a place that made it extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. It's an important factor to consider for anyone planning to visit the area and needing medical care.

She was with me every step of the way, always available 24/7, a true angel! Thanks to her, I chose this hospital and Turkey instead of the Czech Republic. Olya’s support was crucial in my decision, and I’m forever grateful to her. Special thanks to our guide Said, who was always available, no matter the time of day or night. He helped resolve every issue between me and the clinic, providing a smooth experience throughout the process. The doctor who performed my surgery, Alperen Koç, was outstanding. From the initial consultation to the operation itself, everything went smoothly, quickly, and painlessly. He’s truly a high-level professional who’s there to treat patients rather than make money off them. I deeply appreciate all of his care and expertise. A week has passed since the surgery, and I feel good, though my vision hasn’t fully returned yet. However, this is normal, and I’m confident that it will improve over time. I can confidently recommend Bookimed and VM Medical Park Hospital in Istanbul. Cons: The main downside of my experience was with the hospital’s billing department. They requested payment in cash, but we were not informed about this before traveling to Turkey. If you want to pay by card, they charge a 20% commission, which is an unreasonably high fee. I’d also like to mention someone named Timur (I don’t remember his last name). In front of patients, he was speaking in Russian with a female colleague, assuming we didn’t understand the language. They said something like, “People are so stupid; it’s hard to work with such dumb people.” This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in the presence of patients. Such conversations seriously undermine the clinic’s reputation and are inappropriate in a professional healthcare setting. My impressions of the trip were extremely positive. From the organisation of the trip with the manager Ekaterina, to the transfer to the airport. I had the operation on the day of my arrival. I was accompanied by an interpreter at all stages. The procedure itself was quick and painless. The attending doctor Dr İBRAHİM YAŞAR was very pleased. Competent specialist, pleasant and communicative. After the operation I had two more days for recovery. The ward was very comfortable and clean, the staff was friendly and attentive. 3 meals a day. In general, I can safely recommend this clinic for such procedures, the attending doctor and Bookimrd service.

Memorial is more than a hospital. It is home from home. Very hospitable and caring staff who show a lot of empathy. My one night stay in the hospital was a delightful experience, kind and available staff, every neat and hygienic room. The doctors are on top of their job. I was taken through a lecture in nuclear physics 101, broken in simple language. The lecturer helped allayed my initial fears about the treatment. The treatment was speedy and the results came so quickly. The doctor was by my bedside to explain the next steps. The translator was fantastic. The transportation service was superb, always on time. I got more than value for my money. I will strongly recommend Memorial Sisli Hospital for any person seeking Lu-177 therapy

Excellent experience. I traveled from Mexico to have cochlear implant surgery. First of all, I found this hospital thanks to the attention of Bookimed, they attended me very well, got the best option and started the whole process. At the beginning I was obviously a little bit afraid that everything was real and correct and with good results, it was the first time I used this kind of medical tourism. I searched many countries and options and found the best deal through Bookimed at Hisar Hospital in Istanbul at the best price. Now that it's all over, I am pleasantly surprised and grateful to everyone who took care of me. I am impressed with how well they have organized everything for international patients. From the transportation, to the airport-hotel-airport, hotel-hospital-hotel, in all the appointments I had, more than 3 times in two weeks. The international department assigned me one and sometimes two translators, all were very well behaved, Dr. Yabuz Selim very attentive and professional, the hospital was excellent, the package included two nights accommodation in a room with two rooms, and meals for patient and companion. Pre-operative studies, post-operative follow-up, and only the agreed amount was paid from the beginning, not a dollar more we had to pay. I had never had this experience in a hospital before. The whole procedure was fast and without complications, they checked me 3 more times without any problem. They helped me resolve all my doubts and concerns, always with excellent response through whatsapp. I sincerely recommend and thank everyone involved in Hisar Hospital. I hope I never have to go back, but if I need to, I will not even look elsewhere.

LIV Hospital services are very much in line with and in no way inferior to the world level, believe me, because due to health problems of my family, we had to see clinics in the USA, China, South Korea, Israel. From the very first call I felt great care for me as a loved one. Many thanks to Sabina, Nigina - coordinators / translators, they did a great job, we could contact them at any time of the day and they supported the patient with all their hearts. Please note that everything here is based on Turkish, only doctors can communicate in English. It can be seen how much Turkey has advanced and is self-sufficient. I am grateful to fate that I met the professor - neurosurgeon Chagatay Ozturk. Easy to communicate, concise, it is immediately clear that the highest level specialist, after the examination, identified the problem and showed it on the MRI scan and explained what was to come. An operation was performed to remove the hernia on L5-S1 and a titanium disc was installed. The atmosphere of the team was very favorable and cozy, there was a high level of coherence and discipline. The concern was such that I did not feel any pain or heaviness, although they say that the operation was not an easy one. On the second day after the operation, I already walked and on the sixth day I was already discharged. Finally I got rid of pain and sleepless nights over the years! Bookimed, I am so grateful to you, I could not have made this journey without your assistance. Thank you very much for your guidance and patience. I hope I did not give you a hard time. Turkey is a safe place to travel, it is safer than Paris, Milan or Manhattan. I never felt in danger in Istanbul. From the moment I arrived at Lokman Hekim Hospital, everything was taken care of by Ismael Ali, who is an easy going and friendly translator. The pre-operative test were done as soon as I arrived. The day after I met Doctor Murat Yaman who is a friendly and open person. Before travelling to Istanbul I checked his background and found him to be a very good and competent surgeon. So, on that day I was relaxed for the surgery because I knew I was going to be in good hands. The work he did on me was outstanding. I am still in the healing process. My eyes are a bit irritated, but that is normal. My face is still a bit swollen but it no longer hangs. My face has changed expression from appearing to be sad or angry to reflecting a normal emotion. A big thanks to the Lokman Hekim Hospital staff some of them spoke a little bit of English others were fluent but all of them were caring, kind, super friendly and always ready to help.

Everything is very well organized, fast communication between the doctor, translator, and financial department. We had a problem with housing, they didn’t abandon us at night, the clinic staff helped. We did an examination, so I can’t say about the results of the treatment yet. The facilities at the clinic are wonderful, we consulted with 2 doctors, we have a diagnosis and a treatment method. The radiologist is competent and specialist, but not verbose. I didn’t have enough explanations about the risks, etc., the plastic surgeon explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, he was a very nice person. The organization of the trip is at the highest level, the organization is impressive. The diagnosis has been made, treatment methods have been determined, we plan to come for treatment in six months, because the prices are too expensive for us. First of all, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the examination - all procedures were organised quickly and clearly, without long waits. The clinic is equipped with modern equipment, which inspires confidence and gives confidence in the accuracy of diagnosis. I would like to emphasise the responsiveness and professionalism of the staff. Each employee showed attention and care, which made the treatment process much more comfortable. A pleasant addition was the work of interpreter Gulnara and coordinator Zahida - it greatly facilitated communication with doctors and understanding of all stages of examination. I would also like to express my gratitude for the transfer and the work of the driver, which helped to save time and eliminated the need to think about the road. I had initially gone to Turkey to consult with a dental clinic there. The initial clinic consultation went a direction that didn't want to go to meet my needs. Bookimed was able to quickly arrange more consultations with other clinics and Bahcelievler Memorial Hospital. I really liked the dental staff and the vision/action plan proposed by Bahcelievler. I quickly decided that they were the best option of all my consultations there in-country. Due to the severity of my dental needs, the Chief of Dentistry (Dr. Esma Sonmez) personally took my case. Her and her team were fantastic. She highly recommended the oral surgeon, part of the hospital, Dr. Celal Gondirll. I highly recommend both of them. Mr. Gondirll communicated clearly the game plan, successfully followed through with a well-performed surgery, and was available for after-care. I needed 24 crowns, with temporaries installed prior to the jaw surgery, and permanents installed post-surgery. Dr Sonmez performed all the crowns herself. In all, everything went very well. My hospital medical coordinators, Ms. Rose and Mr. Masoud, did a great job of coordinating the activities, hospital stay, hotel stay, and shuttle services. It has only been about a week and a half post-surgery, but I am very pleased with the results. I'm sure things will only improve more as the swelling subsides in the coming weeks. None of it would have been possible without my Bookimed coordinator, Winnington, quickly pivoting after my initial consultation going south and arranging the consultation with the hospital. An additional point to mention is that Bahcelievler Memorial Hospital was able to perform all the needed services at a significantly cheaper price. Dr. Sonmez is also very conservative in her approach to dental care and was able to successfully avoid 12 root canals that my initial dental clinic consultations had deemed "required." I would strongly suggest adding a consultation with the hospital prior to finalizing any action plan. Thank you!
