This review is information to help the clinic improve their services. The surgeon was knowledgeable. The nursing staff is not available for anything but doing your vitals. They don’t even ask if you want any water. I was feeling nauseous and dizzy and there was no juice or crackers available. When you could get it, you had to pay for it. The biggest issue is the nurse’s help button is against the wall which is obviously hard to get to when you can’t get out of the bed especially right after the surgery. The button should be on the hospital bed. At one point I was left without a hospital gown and the nurse never came back to give me a new one! Another issue was the hotel room that was given to me had paper thin walls and therefore could never get a proper sleep. I could hear EVERYTHING that was happening in the room and the restaurant beside me! I couldn’t change rooms because I just had the surgery and was not able to repack my stuff and move. The operations take place in a government hospital. Nobody speaks English there. Communication is very difficult; if there are complications after surgery, then this is problematic. There is also very questionable medical training. Injections and tests are taken without gloves. They can't take an analysis. They pricked a vein, didn’t get it and left. We touched it with our own hands without gloves. They measure your blood pressure haphazardly or not at all, and then they write down what they made up and lie that they checked it all night. Immediately after the operation I had to call them and shout for them to come because the call button did not work. I had a lingering shock from all this. We had a girl translator with us who did not want to disconnect when I asked her. Although I speak English fluently and did not need her services. I didn’t want to undress in front of her and show my chest or belly. Therefore, the consultation was useless for me. As I became convinced later (when I had already undergone surgery), this company is very focused on earnings, and not on the client. Read more less

I stayed at the clinic for 6 days, good conditions, separate room, 3 meals a day. The medical staff was always on the phone, they helped in any situation. I was surprised that manipulations with blood (taking analyses, treatment of stitches after surgery) are carried out without disposable gloves, for this a huge minus. Consultations with the doctor were also very fast, he was always in a hurry. I had a lot of questions, but half of them remained unanswered. He does his job, but especially does not explain or tell anything. For me this is also a disadvantage.

I elected to do a facelift , and fat transfer with Dr Safa Manav in Istanbul and I am a patient who has had surgery for liposuction and lip lift and threads in Istanbul before with a different clinic. So it has been very interesting for me to make the comparison. I will not name the other clinic but will say that Dr Manav is streets ahead. I am only four days into my operation but I am so impressed with everyone who I have come into contact with. Delfe who handles the what’s app while you are in your own country is clear and prompt on what’s app. Upon arriving a driver collected me and the car has tv , WiFi, water and a very polite driver. Then I met Elif ( her full name is Elif bilge yavuz ) and she is your coordinator. She speaks perfect English and understands absolutely everything, is intelligent and empathic and I can entirely understand why Dr Manav took her with him when he set up his win clinic. The woman is a powerhouse. You feel entirely safe in her hands while she navigates getting heart tests and blood tests on the first day so they can establish whether it’s safe to operate. During the consult I did test Dr Safa Manav by asking him about additional procedures that I didn’t have much interest in and knew I didn’t really need . I wanted to see if the clinic were only interested in the money. He immediately advised me to not do these procedures , that they were unnecessary, and I didn’t need them. And In Fact advised me to never do one of the procedures at all as he could never see me ever needing it. This totally assured me of where the clinic and his priorities lie…with his patients and not with his bank account. I also wanted a dr who ensure that I looked natural as I do not like the over the top look of large lips or extra small nose and I could see that he is very much about keeping things natural. That wa also very important to me. But of course I understand that some patients love this unnatural look. He was to the point and clear in the consultation. I also had been considering hiring him to also remove old implants at a later stage so we also had a chat about that too. The morning of surgery I was told I was the only person he was operating on which was also hugely comforting . He came to check on me twice and assured me. The hospital is faultless. It’s like a five star hotel. I had a private room with en suite and my own nurse from Dr Manav as a well as the hospital nurses taking care. If I pressed the button they came immediately. And they would do constant regular checks on my during the 24 hours I was in the hospital. Even if drugs didn’t need to be administered they still came in to check on me like clockwork. I had low swelling and low pain, but I think each patient is different. By the evening of that surgery day I was walking around the corridors with no support and even able to watch a film. Which was totally unexpected. But of course I wouldn’t assume you would be the same as everyone heals differently. I am now back at the Antwell hotel. Each day Elif or her friend Busa come to check on me. The pics which they send back to the dr and check the dressings. And check I’ve remebered to take the daily drugs. A corner comes in daily and she even also asks did I eat something, did I take a walk. The hotel is an apartment hotel. I even have a washing machine and dryer and dishwasher . It’s spotlessly clean , there are nurses in the building and emergency pulls in every room. Smart tv, and controlled heating. There are restaurants , a pool , spa, library, cinema room, roof terrace and even an art room. The staff are amazing. My speaker charging lead broke and the concierge went out to fetch me a new lead. Within an hour. Because I didn’t feel strong enough to go walking around outside. Most of the guests here are patients so you meet people in the corridors , lift, cafe, but if you want privacy that’s also respected. There is a large mall just a five mins walk , it’s called Emaar mall. It’s a great mall. Two days after surgery I felt well enough to walk around in it for three hours alone. There are also a few cafes near the hotel. I have not even seen my operation results yet as I am still bandaged up. However from a professional point of view of the team, the cleanness , the way it’s run, the staff behaviour, the accomodation, and transport , I honestly cannot fault it. And I am able to make comparisons because I have been here before and done surgery in Istanbul. This by far outweighs my other experience. And my other experience was not a bad one at all. I also would like to say that the hospital staff were amazing. I live over seas and have experienced staff in hospitals in my 53 years in many countries. The staff seem to enjoy their work, they seem to truly care. Sadly i have not witnessed this in the uk on the nhs, in India, Cambodia, or in spain. In a world where so many people are chasing fame and fortune on the internet and not interested in normal jobs any more it has been so wonderful to witness people in their 20s who are in the care service industry , working hard and long hours and are enjoying it and doing an amazing job. I cannot be more grateful to witness that. They all deserve an award and far more recognition than they get. I will eventually write a secondary review when I have recovered , which will be about the results of the actual surgery. I have not been paid to write this review. I know no one at the Dr Manav clinic. This is an honest review of my own personal experience.

I am from Witney, Oxfordshire in the UK and I went to Hair for a beard and hair transplant and I cannot rate the professional service received from all members of the team highly enough. I am writing this review in my hotel room the day after having a beard and hair transplant. When I first decided to undergo a hair​ transplant in Turkey, I was inundated with offers from, what seemed to be, hundreds of hair transplant clinics through WhatsApp, and it was hard to know which clinics were the best? I decided to pick Hair in Istanbul, because I could see no negatives reviews and they were recommended to me by Bookimed. I then heavily researched this clinic online before making a decision. I could tell once I met with the medical team that I had made a good choice on coming to this clinic. This is a good clinic, and the medical team who carried out the procedure were highly skilled, professional, and considerate. Once, they started taking grafts I could tell these people know what they were doing. On my initial WhatsApp consultation, I was told they would be able to extract 3000 grafts but, they actually extracted 4800 and so they implanted some additional grafts in the crown area of my head free of charge. They implanted every single graft in which meant they took longer than scheduled. I will send the photographic results of my hair and beard transplant after 6 months has passed. I also give Hair permission to pass on my contact details to anyone who wants to contact me with questions about my experience as a client at this clinic.​ ​ I'd like to give a special thank you to Yulia, Mehmet Ali, and particularly the highly professional and extremely talented medical team of technicians who carried out the actual procedure. Trying to get hair replacement procedure in the USA is not only expensive and behind the expertise that other countries like South Korea or in my case, Turkey, are known for. From day one, Bookimed was extremely responsive and answered all my questions quickly and expertly, while getting me the best price for my hair replacement procedure. I was initially given a quote for Istanbul Plastic Surgery Clinic, but later given an even better rate and consultation with Adem & Havva Hair Clinic. I went with the FUE hair method which is less costly than the newer DHI method, and I believe just as effective, although a little more recovery is needed by about a few days with FUE method. Do your homework on what you want done for your needs and balance the price and see what works for you. Remember that two prices are offered for either procedure: "Shaven head" and "Unshaven head," With the shaven head being the cheaper cost but I believe more sanitary. Unshaven method does look better while you heal (you keep your regular hair) but I just believe removing all hair to allow doctors a clean base for the hair procedure is the best way to go, and cheaper and more sanitary too without sacrificing quality. Your cost will vary depending on your consultation with BookImed that includes sending them pictures with specific instructions. But ultimately the amount of hair grafts you need will determine the final cost. But BookiMed will work to find the very best deal for you based on procedure you've chosen. But compare other clinics if you feel better to see that Bookimed will give you the best rate for comparable procedures from other clinics. I recommend getting to Turkey about 3-4 days early so you can sight see this beautiful country before your hair procedure. They will arrange all transportation and hotel accommodations for you if you wish extra nights and will pick you up at airport and take you to your hair procedures. I cannot stress enough that my visit and my procedure was excellent and I highly recommend Bookimed for hair and even plastic surgery procedures ( I will do a chin lift next). It has only been a week since my procedure was done and can post pics based on my current status of healing. But I have not suffered any issues or side effects and my scalp and hair are healing and growing properly. The clinic will follow my hair process for one year to ensure my hair grows out well and I am completely satisfied. I hope this review helps many of you out there.
