The experience and professionalism of the Doctor has been unbeatable
I had a stomach reduction with Dr. Batman. I can only recommend this Dr. and the Hisar Hostel. I was very pleasantly surprised. I must admit that I had moments of doubt, of fear that they did not comply with the sanitary measures or that there might be a problem. But the whole process from start to finish was excellent. The hospital has nothing to envy to the best private hospitals in Spain, the experience and professionalism of the Doctor has been unbeatable, I had been given good references from Spain (other great bariatric doctors). And the most important thing is that they are very involved in helping you to make sure that everything goes well, even after the operation, once the year of follow-up starts. The only problem I have, which I think they need to improve, and which I saw in other opinions before deciding to go for it, is that you ask for a translator in Spanish and he never appears. In my case I speak English, but I was accompanied by my mother who doesn't speak any English and I would have appreciated having a Spanish translator at times when I was dazed by the medication. I am glad I chose this clinic, I recommend it to everyone
Everything was perfect. My personal driver met me at the airport and took me to the clinic in a luxury car. At the clinic I was met by the coordinator - interpreter Ismail. He helped me to get registered at the clinic and set preliminary analyses. The next day there was another coordinator - interpreter. She helped me through the remaining procedures before surgery. Many people come with an accompanying family member (mum, sister, husband) I came alone. So my coordinator sat with me in the room after surgery all day until I fully recovered, talking to me. All the days after the operation, the coordinators came several times a day to ask about my condition and my needs. All the doctors are very nice and attentive. All the staff, nurses, orderlies and other clinic staff are all very caring and nice. The ward is large and spacious. It has a toilet and a shower. There is a cupboard for personal belongings and a TV set. Meals are provided several times a day. The menu differs depending on the operation and some people can make their own diet. I don't know if it could have been improved in any way, so I rate this experience a 10 out of 10
From the beginning the process was adapted to my needs: flight dates and availability. In only 2 weeks everything was already organised and programmed. The fact that they gave me the planning by days helped a lot, apart from the personalised assistance I received from the coordinator and the dietician. They were able to answer my questions and doubts very quickly and accurately. They did everything in such a way that it didn't seem complicated at all. One day I had all the necessary tests, the next day I was operated on, another 3 days in hospital and that was it. The day of the surgery was a bit tough but the other 3 days were very bearable, with enough painkillers and plenty of saline solution. The day before the surgery, in the personal interview with the doctor, they gave me as much information as possible and cleared up any doubts, so I already knew beforehand what the process would be. The hospital staff helped a lot to make my experience a pleasant and positive one. I don't know if it could have been improved in any way, so I rate this experience a 10 out of 10. Read more less

They very much prioritise the patients health as all hospitals should but with the horror stories you hear in the media about health tourism is hard to find a hospital to trust, but lokman hekim is one that I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone and I think I picked the right place to have my gastric sleeve
I had an amazing experience with this hospital. The hospital itself was pristinely clean and the room I was given was luxurious and private. From all my pre op testing to after my surgery, everything flowed and was done so smoothly. The attention and care I got from the nurses post op put me at ease and made me feel so safe. I had a great experience with dr. Kaplan, he works with care and treats his patience with an utmost care, answering all questions and providing clarity when needed. The coordinator Madina was absolutely lovely, helping us out throughout the entire process making sure that we have everything we need, making this whole process stress free. The nutrition specialist Ece was very helpful not just with providing the plan, adjusting my diet and answering all my questions medically (nutritionally speaking) but she went out of her way to provide comfort to my mother that was accompanying me on this medical journey, which was immeasurably sweet and thoughtful. Everything was brilliant with the consultant and his team, the hospital ward staff were good apart from one nurse that was on shift and was quite rude. All the transfers were good until we needed to get to the airport and the driver was stuck somewhere and we ended up paying. 1 500 tl to get us to the airport. Our interpreter was brilliant and we had a laugh with her. I wasn’t expecting to pay out nearly £600.00 extra with having to buy all medicines and medication and protein powder. This was a shock to me as nobody had told me about this. So overall my experience was really good and the operation went really well, just lacking in a bit of after care and additional add ons. I departed for my procedure on Friday night to have it done on Saturday morning 20th January. Up until the moment I booked my flight - the communication from Bookimed was on point, but straight after I sent them my booking confirmation, I didn't hear anything from anyone. So on the day of departing, I still had no confirmation for the hotel, transfer, etc. and had to keep chasing for the information. Not a good start obviously, for someone who is leaving their home for a medical procedure abroad! When I arrived in Istanbul airport around 5 am - I had to wait a good 40 minutes for my transfer, although sending all my flight information and being told that the driver was going to be there waiting for me. Incorrect. The hotel room was ok- no soap, shampoo or working phone, (which was not good at all, as I couldn't ring for any assistance after during my whole stay). Initially I was given a twin room, although being on my own so had to ask to change it to a double bedded room. The receptionist was hesitant, but then did it after I insisted. On the day of the procedure- it was really messy! I got to the hospital and wasn't sure where to go, because no instructions were given to me beforehand of what to expect, dos and don'ts... absolutely nothing! Then once they got someone to meet me, everything was all very rushed! Different individuals came by, which I did know who they were as they didn't really introduce themselves... to make me sign for different things, one of them being a disclosure for going through a general anesthetics, which I had no idea was going to take place as no one had ever mentioned! That was my first shock as I had travelled abroad, not knowing I would have been under sedation during the procedure. I didn't prepare myself mentally for that and was really annoyed I was not warned in advance, as that in itself carries its own risks. Anyway, the worst came afterwards, once the procedure had been done- I felt really weak, in severe pain (in my stomach) and extremely nauseous. Again, I couldn't understand why I was in so much pain as I was not warned nor given any information beforehand. So all an unpleasant surprise. The nursing staff were nice, but couldn't' speak English. I felt rushed out of my room as they made it clear it was time for me to go, by making signs and leaving the door open! But I was in no condition to go yet, as I wasn't well! The nutritionist came really quickly and rushed the information to me. She left without even leaving her contact details should I have any questions or for any aftercare. Then another guy came along to to give me the medication to take with me, which I had to pay for , again not expecting it as I thought all was included, I was told again to go. I asked if anyone was meeting me to go over the final things- he said no. Wow. I could not believe it. It was just like: okay, we have your money now, you've got your balloon- off you go! Ciao! I was just appalled, upset and really scared actually, because I felt really unwell and there was no one there to assist. To conclude, I walked back to the hotel alone with a lot of struggle. Went up to my room, with no working phone and stayed there for the rest of that day and the following day vomiting and with cramps in my stomach, alone. I have not once heard from the medical team/ hospital once or anyone other than the Bookimed booking team to leave my review, so here I am leaving my review. I don't normally write reviews at all as they are so time consuming... but on this instance I really felt I ought to on this occasion due to my awful experience and to warn people of the potential consequences. Maybe, I was just unlucky... but please think about it twice before giving your money away to these people and only go there if you really have no other alternative! My pain has subsided slightly, but the pain is still present almost two weeks after having the balloon inserted. and the vomiting also, so I will need to go to A&E over the weekend to get myself checked out properly as I have no medical team advising me or providing any form of after care. I am really scared. Would I recommend Bookimed/ Hisar Hospital ? Absolutely, 100%, No!

Admittedly, when I booked the surgery, I was a little sceptical that everything would go well. After all, everything was done online. However, I was very impressed with how good and friendly the constant communication was. I was already feeling increasingly confident here. I also received very good, uninterrupted and professional treatment and care on site. My doctor Dr Burak and my contact person Olivia were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The transfers - to/from the airport or to follow up appointments at the clinic - were very good and reliable. The contact persons at Bookimed also contacted me regularly and enquired about my well-being. I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and am pleased to be recovering quickly and well. Everything is very well organized, fast communication between the doctor, translator, and financial department. We had a problem with housing, they didn’t abandon us at night, the clinic staff helped. We did an examination, so I can’t say about the results of the treatment yet. The facilities at the clinic are wonderful, we consulted with 2 doctors, we have a diagnosis and a treatment method. The radiologist is competent and specialist, but not verbose. I didn’t have enough explanations about the risks, etc., the plastic surgeon explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, he was a very nice person. The organization of the trip is at the highest level, the organization is impressive. The diagnosis has been made, treatment methods have been determined, we plan to come for treatment in six months, because the prices are too expensive for us. I can write about the quality of treatment after treatment.

I, Temirbek Ormotoev came from Kyrgyzstan, I chose Florence Nightingale Hospital which was helped by bookimed company and the staff of this company liked me, especially I am happy to deal with Professor Ahmet-Tunch Ozdemir. Today is the 3rd day after the operation performed by Prof Ahmet-Tunç Ozdemir. The operation was done wonderfully, I am satisfied and also the hospital conditions and medical staff were top notch, everyone is polite to the patients, especially the head nurse and nurse Linhai were very good at patient care. Why did I choose Florence Nightingale specifically? Because this hospital is one of the advanced hospitals in Turkey and there is a DaVinci robotised system. I have a neoplasm in my kidney over 30 mm. Prof Ahmet-Tunç Ozdemir performed the operation within 1.5 hours and he has golden hands. Dear readers, if anyone wants to be treated abroad, come specifically to Florence Nightingale and find Prof Ahmet-Tunç Ozdemir and you will not go wrong with your choice. I was discharged on the second day after surgery, I feel great and recovery is underway. In terms of the cost of paying for the surgery, compared to other clinics in Turkey, it is realistic and inexpensive. Mr Ahmet-Tunc Ozdemir, my family and I wish you good health, longevity, good luck in everything and that you stay for a long time saving patients from various diseases, Allah help you. I am also grateful to the medical coordinators of bookimed platform, Liana, who from the very beginning until today accompanies and helps with treatment abroad and assistants named Alisher, translator Aigerim, who know their business professionally.
