"The doctors are very good, you can’t say anything bad, very attentive and a special thanks again to Naina
Everything was fine, Naina helped us a lot, everything is fine on this side. The only thing was that the transfer failed us very much, the driver arrived later, because of this we were late for the airport and on our flight, we spent a lot of time, so the transfer really spoiled the impression. The doctors are very good, you can’t say anything bad, very attentive and a special thanks again to Naina. Read more less

"Many thanks to Catherine for her support and support!"
I would like to thank Bukimed Service and Medipol Clinic, Istanbul, Turkey. These are true professionals, thank you that Ukrainians also have the opportunity to receive decent medical care and hope for the best. For those who have chosen treatment for themselves in Istanbul, we can say that you will not regret it. High-level support, organization, doctors and equipment! And the prices are pleasantly surprised, they are 3-4 times lower than the prices in Israel and Europe (before that they were treated in and received further consultations in one of the Israeli clinics), the only thing you want to warn is that if you need a translator, then don't expect him to be around you 24/7. He is accompanying several patients at the same time, and also in Turkey a low percentage of English-speaking and Russian-speaking doctors and citizens. Many thanks to Catherine for her support and support! Thank you! Read more less

"Thank you!"
Impressions about the company Bookimed and clinic Nordwest are exceptionally positive! Organization of the trip at the highest level, in everything there was support and participation. Coordinators Anna and Varvara (Bookimed) and Olga (Nordwest) assisted in every request, were sympathetic, professional and nice. Professor Yeager gave detailed advice and comments on the research and nuances of the disease. After the visit to Nordwest, much was cleared up and a hope and a positive attitude emerged. Thank you! "From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Professor Gross, as well as all the staff of the Asclepios clinic in Hamburg for their high professionalism, efficiency, sensitivity and attention to patients
From the bottom of my heart I want to thank Professor Gross, as well as all the staff of the Asclepios clinic in Hamburg for their high professionalism, efficiency, sensitivity and attention to patients. About a month ago left an application on the site bookimed, within an hour I was contacted by coordinator Katerina, immediately offered several clinics specializing in oncourology. The choice fell on Asclepios in Hamburg, in particular, Professor Gross. Within a week, thanks to Katerina's efforts, prof. Gross, determined the tactics of treatment and already in a week there was immediate operation. There were some doubts that the nephrectomy could be performed laparoscopically, but the golden hands of prof. Gross know their business. The postoperative period went smoothly, recovered quickly. During the week of the stay, there were no complaints about the work of the staff: attentive, sensitive and affable. Conditions are more than comfortable. The language barrier was not a problem due to the well-coordinated work of the translators Lydia Goncharenko and Vladimir Fissenko. Separately, I want to once again express my gratitude to coordinator Katerina, who was always in touch, quickly resolved all sorts of difficulties. Read more less

Bookimed handed over our documents to Anadolu and the next day we were contacted by the curator Zakhida from Anadolu. The curator sent us a list of hotels with whom Anadolu cooperates under the contract (discount for Anadolu patients), made a reservation and organized a transfer from the airport to the hotel, made an appointment with doctors, for tests, PET CT, etc. and sent us a schedule for November 8. We arrived on November 7, we were met by a transfer from Anadolu and taken to the hotel. The next day, November 8, we went to Anadolu, we were met in the hall by the curator Zahida and the translator Muhamed. Our doctor Sinan. Analyzes, Pet CT, MRI, ultrasound of the heart and even the review of slides, the results are prepared quickly.

From the minute I was inquiring about an appointment through to an entire 2 hours of tests, I felt completely taken care of. Being in a foreign country where it’s not your first language can be daunting when needing healthcare. My healthcare navigator Leen was so wonderful. She brought me to each doctor or department, got me situated and was also my translator. She was kind, compassionate & so incredibly helpful. I was incredibly grateful to have her by my side. I saw Dr. Bassols who was incredibly warm, knowledgeable and put my fears at ease. The other technicians were also wonderful and caring. I highly recommend the staff and care I received at Centro Medico Teknon and the team from bookimed that connected me to them. Thank you everyone!!

The staff is great. At the moment, we are waiting for the results of the tests, since the wrong diagnosis was made in Ukraine. In Ukraine, sarcoma was treated for 7 months and it is gone. We are not saying that there is no oncology, but the fact that there is no sarcoma is already pleasing. Received very nicely and politely. The coordinators are Russian-speaking. Every day they keep track of all matters. Those who passed the tests were not left alone for a single minute. Currently, we are waiting for a meeting with an oncologist and a radiologist. I recommend

We got to the MEMORIAL clinic due to an urgent diagnosis. The successful outcome of the operation depended on promptness. The question was about days. The operation was carried out the next day. The most difficult operation according to the Whipple method. Conducted by professor, head of surgery. Low bow to him. The entire staff of the department works perfectly, promptly responds to any request. Separately, I want to say about the work of the translator Aida. High qualification, operational work at any time of the day, sincerity - only a small description of her qualities. Special thanks for providing meals to the patient and accompanying person. The cuisine is very tasty, in some positions it is better than homemade. I enjoyed the vegetarian cuisine. But there is a different one. A low bow to all the staff of the clinic. They saved my husband's life.

The medical team was very professional,available at a short notice, explaining the options, and ready to answer any questions. All necessary medical tests have been done quickly. The preparation for surgery, operation itself and post-surgery care were performed with utmost care and professionalism, overall hospital environment was calming, which helped to reduce the stress associated with surgery and diagnosis. It would be good to have an accurate estimate of costs in advance to make an informed decision.

When they learned what was needed in the clinic, they didn’t even know where to run and whom to contact. Coordinators helped to select a clinic. They gave us a doctor. Everything went great, the doctor is a true professional.  Separately, I want to note the attitude to patients. We were met at the airport, brought to the clinic and there was already a translator waiting. Literally "by the hand" we were taken to the doctors, everyone translated. Then they provided a taxi to the hotel.   During the operation, the ward was provided for two people - for the patient and the attendant; both of them were included in the cost of the operation.   After surgery, the doctor held a consultation, making sure that you can fly back. And only then answered questions remotely that arose.  Clinic definitely recommend

Memorial is more than a hospital. It is home from home. Very hospitable and caring staff who show a lot of empathy. My one night stay in the hospital was a delightful experience, kind and available staff, every neat and hygienic room. The doctors are on top of their job. I was taken through a lecture in nuclear physics 101, broken in simple language. The lecturer helped allayed my initial fears about the treatment. The treatment was speedy and the results came so quickly. The doctor was by my bedside to explain the next steps. The translator was fantastic. The transportation service was superb, always on time. I got more than value for my money. I will strongly recommend Memorial Sisli Hospital for any person seeking Lu-177 therapy

I was really nervous about a new breast lump that developed. I reached out to Book I med and explained my situation. I was directed to Hisar Intercontinental Hospital. They did biopsy, ultrasound and PET scan. Although I wanted surgery, doctor explained it wasn't in my best interest and recommended medication instead. Doctors were careful to come up with plan, they didn't rush to make decisions. I had a medical coordinator who assisted in transportation to and from hospital and coordinating tests and doctor visits. I was also assigned an interpreter for Turkish to English.They were both wonderful and it was nice to have assistance and smiling faces when I arrived. They always took time to listen to concerns and answer questions. I met with 2 doctors, a breast cancer surgeon and oncologist. They both were professional and friendly. They met with a tumor board of physicians to discuss my plan.I feel like I got professional care and good treatment plan. The hospital was clean and modern. They did a good job with the tests, I didn't feel any pain from the doctor who did my biopsy. Believe me when you have something as scary as a breast lump you want to be in good hands.I paid for each test and medication individually with credit card. I was told the cost before each purchase. Even though the whole bill wasn't cheap, it's much much lower cost than I could get in United States. As a self pay patient I am glad for that also. So overall even though I was struggling with something really bad(tumor) I feel like I got great and professional care at a decent price. I would truly recommend this to anyone. And Turkey is such a beautiful country with friendly people. There is hidden artwork everywhere. So even though I am going through this ordeal being in beautiful Turkey makes it not so bad. The food here is really good and cheap. I'm staying in Old city which has tons of Cafe restaurants. In your spare time just sitting at a Cafe and watching the myriad of people walking by is fun. I am confident I am going to beat this breast tumor with the help of the wonderful care given at Hisar Intercontinental Hospital.

Thank you!

My husband and I traveled from New Zealand to both get eye lens replacement surgery. From the start we have had print and effient communication. With every question answered. We were picked up from the airport, taken to hotel, then the same day at our request taken to the hospital for our appointment. Two days later we were in having eye surgery again with pick ups and drop offs. We were met at the hospital entrance, by bookimed.com translators and hospital translators they were amazing every day, in every way. The doctors were provisional and onto it, explaining every detail, and answering all our questions. Our procedure went very well and we are very happy with the outcome and how amazing we can see, no longer with glasses or contacts. I recommend bookimed.com to everyone. Vikki

The tumor was twice as large. They saved my husband's life. Masha Allah. The operation was 8-9 hours. they deleted everything, I consider this a record. It was a difficult operation. Well done. At our KZ they could not remove everything that was, only a small part was removed and that's it. I bow to you. At the expense of the clinic. Service At the Highest Level. Another razzzzz Many thanks to Mustafa Onaz. We love you. A doctor from God. He needs OsKar ❤️❤️❤️ Aidana Amanshieva

Many thanks to Dr Bora Basharan and Alisher Durdiev! Diagnosis: carcinoma on the tongue. Alisher was very helpful with the choice and full support during the treatment. He gave us confidence in choosing Dr Bora Basharan by telling us about his professionalism and humanity. The most important thing for Alisher was the patient's health and to organise the diagnosis/surgery so that the patient gets the best results. We are very happy about this. We could not decide on the treatment (we were waiting for answers from South Korea) and Alisher did not give up to provide us with doctor's answers, answer our many questions and help with organisation. His ability to speak excellent Russian helped a lot in communication. The first meeting organised by Alisher went well. The doctor explained everything about the surgery and gave us peace of mind due to his experience as a highly specialised ENT surgeon in oncology. The operation went well and the follow up health checks. The recovery is good. We read many positive reviews online about Dr Bor Basharan which gave us more confidence. The reviews are true. After the surgery we were given a room with excellent food and the recovery was good. Thank Allah that we met Alisher and Dr Bora Basharan, for his golden hands, good surgery and organisation. Thank you very much again! Good health to all!

Thank you!

Specialist Aleksey helped me very carefully, personally and for sure. Dad successfully underwent prostatectomy in the Czech Republic. I thank all the people involved in organizing Bookimed !!! Testimonial from patient Sergey: Dear visitors of the site "Bookimed", hello. I want to share my story with you. My name is Sergey, St. Petersburg, I am 65 years old and I have had prostate cancer. 03/19. 19 I got a PSA 6.26 analysis result. (I periodically donated blood for PSA, as there were some problems of a urological nature, besides, I was at risk, my father had prostate cancer) I turned to an oncologist, did an MRI of the pelvis, which showed that I in the left lobe of the gland, a capsule of 20x8 mm, conclusion: PIRADS 5, as bad as possible, as the doctor said. Next, the biopsy that confirmed the cancer, “Acinar Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate,” the total score for Gleason 6. Of course it was a hit! Although I understood that this is quite possible. My relatives helped me a lot: wife, children (I have two sons), wife of the eldest son (I do not like the word daughter-in-law). And then the question, "where to do the operation?" His son was told about the existence of the Bookimed company, which helps people in finding the best treatment option for various diseases around the world. He turned to this company, where he was immediately answered and offered two, the most acceptable options, the Czech Republic or Germany, the operation on the Da Vinci robot. Frankly, I was inclined to have surgery in St. Petersburg (three clinics have Da Vinci robots), but after talking with our doctors and the organizer of the operation at St. Zdislava Hospital in the Czech Republic, Irina Korchminskaya, I came to the conclusion that the operation should be done in Czech Republic !!! About a second, later did not regret it! As soon as I agreed to the operation, (previously I sent the results of the examination), on May 17, I was immediately scheduled for surgery on June 3. They immediately told me that the operation will be done by an assistant professor Dolezhal (experience, more than 2000 operations on prostate cancer on a robot !!!), assisted by Professor Tvaruzhek. All information about the clinic and doctors in the public domain on the website of the hospital of St. Zdislava. This is one of the many reasons why I had surgery there, and not in Russia, I could not get information on the statistics of operations performed by doctors in St. Petersburg. I flew to Prague 05/01/19, I was met at the airport and taken to the hospital, there I was met by the translator Otakar Peshek, speaks excellent Russian. 05/03/19 I had surgery, everything went well. I want to thank the entire staff of the hospital, all the great professionals, have been working in this hospital for many years, starting from nurses. Of course, many thanks to Professor Tvarujek, he is a great professional and a wonderful person! For all my busyness, whenever I had questions, I found time to answer them and give recommendations. I am also immensely grateful to Associate Professor Dolezhal, he directly operated on me and subsequently observed the recovery process. Special thanks to Dr. Khamzin! He did not participate in the operation and was not my attending physician. He graduated from the Leningrad Medical Institute, but for about twenty years he has been living and working in the Czech Republic, he stopped by several times, asked how he was doing and made recommendations for further recovery after being discharged from the hospital (gymnastics, etc.). While in the hospital, I contacted the employees of Bookimed three times. , on issues that have arisen with me and now, two months after the operation, I keep in touch with them, as well as with the St. Zdislava hospital, thank you all very much! Now everything is fine with me, almost completely recovered. 08/01/19 donated blood for PSA, the result is 0.026. I want to tell everyone who is faced with the same problem as mine, do not despair! Cancer, this is just a diagnosis! He can be defeated! You just need to turn to the professionals on time! And in the hospital of St. Zdislava wonderful doctors and nurses work! During my stay in the hospital, people underwent surgery: from Latvia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Mexico, Russia !! While in the hospital, I met one person from Riga, with the same problem as mine. We arrived with him on the same day, we performed operations with him on the same day, and on the same day we headed home. While walking in the surroundings (after the operation you need to walk as much as possible, and the hospital is located in the reserve!), We had the idea to travel across Europe from the hospital of St. Zdislava to the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela on kickbike scooters under the slogan "we beat cancer!". We want to help people who for the first time encounter the same problem as ours understand that cancer can be defeated! We know how important support and faith are for such people, we have come this way! Perhaps this run will draw someone's attention to the existence of this problem and it will reveal this disease in time! The sooner a person turns to specialists with this problem, the easier it will be to win! If someone has questions, I will try to answer everyone, write

In principle, the visit went very well, only good impressions remained. Now there are certain problems, because doctors at home do not agree with the diagnosis that was made in China, but we were provided with professional help at the Food Clinic. Despite the fact that the full-time translator was on vacation and we took it on our own, the visit went very well. The rooms are very good, they look like 5 star rooms. As soon as we arrived, the nurses came to the ward, measured the pressure, helped in everything. In general, the clinic staff is friendly and helpful.

FAQ about Kidney cancer Treatment

Kidney cancer

Kidney cancer (kidney carcinoma) is a malignant tumor that occurs in organ cells. Male patients aged from 50 to 70 are subjects at higher risk of kidney cancer development.

Tumor affects one, much less often - both kidneys. 50% patients have renal cell cancer. In all other cases, malignant tumor develops in ureter, kidney pelvis. Kidney sarcoma is diagnosed in less than 10% patients.

Tumor cells develop in retroperitoneal space that шы poorly palpable. Early stages of the disease are asymptomatic. Tumor is often detected during scheduled ultrasound when it already has large size.

Typical symptoms of kidney cancer:

severe lumbar pain;

abdominal induration palpable during examination;

Kidney cancer diagnostics

Kidney ultrasound is the most available method but it does not provide an accurate diagnosis. Therefore, kidney cancer diagnostics should include a set of procedures:

  • Ultrasound of abdominal cavity and urinary system – defines changing of the shape, size of kidney and tumor location;
  • expanded blood laboratory tests (including oncomarkers) and urinalysis;
  • computed tomography (CT) with contrast – “golden standard” of kidney cancer diagnostics. It shows precise location, size of the tumor, depth of its growth into an organ and stages the diseases. CT also enables determining of metastases;
  • MRI is rarely applied for kidney carcinoma. It is used when CT is contraindicated;
  • biopsy – standard examination for cancer diagnosis. For kidney cancer biopsy is not always informative. Therefore, it is performed only upon doctor’s recommendation;
  • renal angiography, X-ray study and bone scanning – X-rays examinations aiming at determine metastases in lungs, bone tissue. It is carried out when CT with contrast is absent.
