Trustworthy, reassuring and all round lovely Dr and person Thank you - excited be able to enjoy life again! Yes - overall support was brilliant. Fouad from Bookimed was so patient with me and so helpful, and not sure Teresa ever sleeps. Thank you both! However due to timing I think the initial 24 hours I assume would be better usually, but it is holiday season - I think better expectation setting there and having someone on hand at departure who could inform me of the steps and answer my questions - but despite this I am sure the follow up for me in that short window would not being the usual experience as otherwise the support was amazing and I was given time during holidays by Dr G which I value and appreciate - it is an important time of the process though so I would recommend having someone like Mercedes on hand! It’s scary seeing yourself after surgery and I was left feeling very unaware for nearly 48 hours! I do want to highlight that everyone in the hospital was great and professional the two nurses who looked after me directly after the surgery were so lovely and obviously all involved in the surgery and end to end treatment - but extra special thanks to you Mercedes - a really special human and very valuable member and representative of the organisation and hospital! From pickup to drop off, it was all so easy. Denisa, my surgery coordinator was so sweet and made me really feel at ease. The doctor was also funny yet professional. I was having labiaplasty so it was nice to smile through it all. Also my recovery was really simple. I had minor pain for maybe 1 day and then I was really moving around fine. Plus, I knew I could call on Denisa if I had any problems. I really appreciated that since I was traveling alone for my surgery. Overall, great service and pleased with my results.

My experience at turkeyana was traumatic, which is why I'm just now sharing my experience, 4 months after the surgery. I went there for a breast reduction and would never do it again. The medical team was the worst. Unfriendly, unprofessional und unkind. I woke up from the surgery right away in the op room, because I have a naturally high tolerance in narcotics (which I told them in advance). When I woke up I tried to sit up, as I wasn't remembering why I was there, I tried 3 times, they would push me down and the third time on of the nurses gave me a hard slap in my face. I was not taken seriously at any time, later nurses would laugh at me when I asked for more pain meds, due to me metabolizing such faster than other patients, I was in enormous pain for 24h straight. Crying and screaming out of pain. Nobody of the care team in the hospital spoke english, they understood the word pain meds tho, but instead they simply gave me a hidrating solution and told me it was morphins, even tho I could read on the bag that it wasn't.When I left the clinic I got no instructions on how to clean the wounds, nor did I get an antibioticscream. They said to just leave the bandaids on until the check up. I had my check up 5 days after the surgery, on a Monday and they didn't even check the doctor who operated on me didn't even show up. so another woman appeared, she didn't check the wounds, only touched the boobs. She left me with the bandaids on, said everything was fine and left the room. The younger too women who were with me in the room, case managers I guess, then asked me to take the bandaids off, so I did. They wanted to take pictures of the result. Afterwards I asked them to clean the wounds. The woman who did it wasn't going to put on gloves if I hadn't told her, and even I could tell she was doing a poor job at cleaning the wounds. When I got back to Switzerland two days later, on Wednesday, I ran straight to my doctor and she told me that my wounds were heavily infected, which eventually resulted in ugly scaring. at turkeyana they told me the threads would come out after 2 weeks, which they didn't. My Swiss doctor had to take them out manually because they were still there after 4 weeks, impeding the healing and maintaining the infection. I was walking around with bandaids and infected wounds until 5 weeks after the surgery. In the sixth week the wounds had finally closed, if you can call it that, because ghrough the infection ghey had grown wide open. I also got a bichetomia done there, on which they also told me the threads would dissolve, but they didn't. I had to go to a dentist to cut them open because they were cutting into the flesh in my mouth. and causing an infection on the inside of my cheeks, which I also had to get treated in Switzerland. Turkeyana is a poor lead, money hungry company who doesn't care about the wellbeing of their patients. they act nice until you've paid and had the surgery, and after that they treat you like trash. 0/10, don't recommend. If you don't want to traumatized, don't go there. I wan't my money back.

Admittedly, when I booked the surgery, I was a little sceptical that everything would go well. After all, everything was done online. However, I was very impressed with how good and friendly the constant communication was. I was already feeling increasingly confident here. I also received very good, uninterrupted and professional treatment and care on site. My doctor Dr Burak and my contact person Olivia were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The transfers - to/from the airport or to follow up appointments at the clinic - were very good and reliable. The contact persons at Bookimed also contacted me regularly and enquired about my well-being. I am very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and am pleased to be recovering quickly and well. Dr Burak continues to monitor me now and I feel I am being very well looked after. His instructions are clear and very helpful. I live in London. I contacted db’est clinic in February In Istanbul, where Hulya contacted me and I told her I would like to have breast augmentation and rhinoplasty and upper blepharoplasty. Hulya told me some information about doctor Derya before giving me any options. She recommended me the websites before making a decision, then I was asked for some pictures to show to the doctor. After seeing my pictures the doctor recommended me mastopexy + silicone augmentation, and agreed with the rhinoplasty and the upper blepharoplasty. After agreeing with the price that included the hotel accommodation and transfer Hulya organised my surgery and all the required tests in Istanbul according to the date I wanted, even with the difficult situation with covid-19. I also want to mention that Hulya was a great support before and during my stay in Istanbul. When arriving to Istanbul, the driver of the car had a letter for me where I was explained the next steps before the surgery, and I was transferred to the hotel. On the next day I was visited by the nurse, who escorted me to the hospital, to do all the tests before the surgery and I met doctor Derya Bingol. After finishing my tests I was transferred to the clinic escorted by the nurse, where I had a long conversation with doctor Derya, and I made a decision with the best advice and had all my questions answered. I felt very comfortable and confident with Derya with the professional and friendly was she explained to me the process of the surgery. On the next day my surgery took place at the arranged hour and ai would like to mention the care from doctor Derya along with the nurse Nazli, who visited me to do a control and transferred me to the hotel. During my stay at the hotel I had multiple visits from the doctor for checks, treatments and medication. The day in which I was coming back to London, the transport provided by the clinic took me to the clinic to have the last checks, conversation, medication and advice, and I had transport from the clinic to the airport to go to my gate. I would like to say it was an extraordinary experience, I am still healing, and that the results are reaching my expectations, which makes me very happy and thankful to doctor Derya and all her team, Hulya, Nazli and Agnieszka. I would always recommend doctor Derya to anyone that would like to do any plastic surgery with confidence.

I had an extremely frustrating experience at the hospital . None of the staff spoke English, which made it nearly impossible to communicate my concerns and questions. To make matters worse, they refused to accept card payments, and instead, they provided third-party payment details, which raised a huge financial red flag for me. To add insult to injury, I was required to pay a deposit of $200 in cash, which I later found out was non-refundable. This is completely unfair and unacceptable. It left me feeling both financially and emotionally distressed, and I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Clear communication and fair payment practices are fundamental aspects of any healthcare facility, and this hospital failed miserably in both regards. In addition to the communication and payment issues, I must mention that the hospital was located in a completely unsuitable area for tourists. This made the overall experience even more distressing. Visitors to a foreign country expect medical facilities to be accessible and accommodating, but this hospital was situated in a place that made it extremely inconvenient and uncomfortable for travelers. It's an important factor to consider for anyone planning to visit the area and needing medical care.
