Turkey is a safe place to travel, it is safer than Paris, Milan or Manhattan. I never felt in danger in Istanbul. From the moment I arrived at Lokman Hekim Hospital, everything was taken care of by Ismael Ali, who is an easy going and friendly translator. The pre-operative test were done as soon as I arrived. The day after I met Doctor Murat Yaman who is a friendly and open person. Before travelling to Istanbul I checked his background and found him to be a very good and competent surgeon. So, on that day I was relaxed for the surgery because I knew I was going to be in good hands. The work he did on me was outstanding. I am still in the healing process. My eyes are a bit irritated, but that is normal. My face is still a bit swollen but it no longer hangs. My face has changed expression from appearing to be sad or angry to reflecting a normal emotion. A big thanks to the Lokman Hekim Hospital staff some of them spoke a little bit of English others were fluent but all of them were caring, kind, super friendly and always ready to help.

After that I once again passed the expanded rheumatological panel. And he got an extremely "unexpected" result. The test results for rheumatologic factor were again negative. Then I told the coordinator Lydia about my medical history starting in 2013. After that, I reported that I had recommendations from a pulmonologist to undergo an annual examination for changes in the lungs. I do not know for what reason, but it was my lungs that interested both my coordinator and the doctor in Gabburg. As a result, I received an assurance that my lungs are in perfect order and there is no reason for an annual CT scan. Departing from the generally negative style of my storytelling, I express my gratitude for this recommendation. And I really hope that I can trust her. Returning to the main topic. The doctor familiarized himself with the results of lung examinations, and in great detail, I would say in more detail than the results of examinations of my joints. Namely, MRI - a study of the hip joints - which came to the radiologist, in the last days before leaving. This fact confused me extremely. I come with a joint problem. But the main bias is, oddly enough, absolutely not on the joints. As I wrote above, the MRI results of the hip joints reached the doctor a few days before my departure. After examination, MRI examination of the joints. I was told that most likely the necrotic changes were caused by the intake of hormonal drugs that relieve the symptoms of arthritis. Due to the fact that my blood tests did not reveal rheumatological problems and signs of an inflammatory process in the blood. I received a verdict - you are healthy, all the best. Because of ignorance language had to contact the company "Phoenix Service", which is an intermediary for the provision of medical services, led by Radislav. My communication with them began with the fact that before arrival they demanded a significant prepayment, which was timely transferred to their account. After arriving at the clinic, I had to transfer money several times, rather big money. I persistently asked the company’s employees to conclude an agreement with me on the provision of services by Phoenix Service, in order to specifically understand which services and for what specific payment the services will be provided. However, no contracts, as well as invoices with prices, were provided to me, which directly testifies to dishonesty. Only two months later I received the clinic’s bills (with which I completely agree) and separately a bill from Phoenix Service for the services rendered, after viewing which there were simply no words ...
