Many thanks to Dr Bora Basharan and Alisher Durdiev! Diagnosis: carcinoma on the tongue. Alisher was very helpful with the choice and full support during the treatment. He gave us confidence in choosing Dr Bora Basharan by telling us about his professionalism and humanity. The most important thing for Alisher was the patient's health and to organise the diagnosis/surgery so that the patient gets the best results. We are very happy about this. We could not decide on the treatment (we were waiting for answers from South Korea) and Alisher did not give up to provide us with doctor's answers, answer our many questions and help with organisation. His ability to speak excellent Russian helped a lot in communication. The first meeting organised by Alisher went well. The doctor explained everything about the surgery and gave us peace of mind due to his experience as a highly specialised ENT surgeon in oncology. The operation went well and the follow up health checks. The recovery is good. We read many positive reviews online about Dr Bor Basharan which gave us more confidence. The reviews are true. Honestly, I'm in awe from this experience
The hospital was fantastic, room was private, with all required amenities, cafe - lovely, everything was beautiful and clean. Staff were just so accommodating, my Doctor was knowledgeable, explained the procedure in detail. Honestly, I'm in awe from this experience. And even though I was coming in with a slight fear and a tiny panic attack, there was really no need to worry, everything is on a highest level! Thanks to all!
Translators were top notch! Everything was amazing, I can't select just one thing.
Had issue with payment, it kept getting rejected and due to this I wasn't admitted right away. But once payment went through, all services followed smoothly.

I got more than value for my money
Memorial is more than a hospital. It is home from home. Very hospitable and caring staff who show a lot of empathy. My one night stay in the hospital was a delightful experience, kind and available staff, every neat and hygienic room. The doctors are on top of their job. I was taken through a lecture in nuclear physics 101, broken in simple language. The lecturer helped allayed my initial fears about the treatment. The treatment was speedy and the results came so quickly. The doctor was by my bedside to explain the next steps. The translator was fantastic. The transportation service was superb, always on time. I got more than value for my money. I will strongly recommend Memorial Sisli Hospital for any person seeking Lu-177 therapy
The ever presence of the medical support to attend to me in deep into the night.

Hello everybody. Thanks to the Clinic for a successful operation. To the Neurosurgeon Mustafa Onaz and Professor Gohan. We are diagnosed with Brain cancer, the last stage, malignant. The tumor was twice as large. They saved my husband's life. Masha Allah. The operation was 8-9 hours. they deleted everything, I consider this a record. It was a difficult operation. Well done. At our KZ they could not remove everything that was, only a small part was removed and that's it. I bow to you. At the expense of the clinic. Service At the Highest Level. Very pleased with the attitude towards patients. The staff was polite and courteous. They responded quickly to all my needs. They suggested the best alternative treatment and were very tactful during the operation. The operation was done under local anaesthesia, and painkillers have very little effect on me, but the doctor was very sensitive and understanding of my condition and patiently waited and increased the dose of anaesthesia until the action started. And during the whole operation constantly asked about my condition and even on small reactions of pain, which were reflected apparently in my face immediately responded. And the assistants (nurses) were close by, giving emotional support. I would especially like to mention the attitude of the interpreter Rabia, who was always in touch with me throughout my stay and answered at any time of the day, despite the workload I saw. This is very human of her when you don't know anything and don't know the language. I would like to thank the clinic and all the medical staff for the help provided and for the sensitive attitude towards each client.
The clinic is located in a very convenient neighbourhood. And the clinic itself provides a huge range of services. Everything is within walking distance. The wards are clean, comfortable and with all the facilities.

I like how efficient everything was. Was met at the airport and welcomed then transferred to my hotel. Met Dr Ersa Ozbasli the next morning who was amazing and very friendly. Her expertise and explanation of my procedure was excellent. I really felt like she was passionate and empathetic towards my needs and explained everything in detail which I loved . My assessment of the clinic was only because I did not stay there, only about 20 minutes for an OSTA examination. I was expecting a full examination because I was invited to the Ichilov-Surasky clinic, but was only in two private clinics for consultations. I chose the Vital hotel exclusively because of Considerations to be close to the clinic. Thank you very much Bookimed for choosing a clinic for us for 3 months and keeping in touch with us throughout the time that we were there, but their partners who deal with us upon arrival in the country are negligent about worn and not fully perform their obyazonnosti.Im want to advise humanity, we (people with health) eat with the hope of recovery! I wish you all Health and Kindness!

From visiting the clinic and undergoing examination were only negative impressions. Appointed to the doctor for 10 days at a certain time, and got an hour later! All tests were taken promptly, in 1 day and promised the results and a visit to the doctor in 2-3 days (the doctor himself said that everything needs to be done very quickly, because I needed urgent treatment), and silence .... Irada I didn’t answer calls ... We only got contact with the help of Bookimed employees! In general, we got to the doctor only after a week, and we were told that we needed to do another examination !!! (remembered) In general, we lost time in vain, which is very important for cancer patients, nerves and money ... Many thanks to the girls from Bookimed for support, help and patience Ie !!! I am grateful to Katerina, Daria, Olga and Darina for the help and support !!! I do not recommend Medipole. I am undergoing treatment in another clinic!

They didn’t save on treatment, did everything they recommended, but they just cheerlessly pumped chemistry and prescribed unnecessary consultations like a physiotherapist with charging a hopelessly sick person !!! The company "phoenix" is a soulless creature with the function of receiving money, I don’t even know how to call them anymore ... Doctor Professor Eger also smiled on detours and said that everything would be fine and didn’t even tell the family that the situation was getting worse, she appointed procedures ... As we now understand, everything was clear for a long time, we just wanted to be "treated" because we paid. They tortured our daddy heartlessly and cynically for money !!! Curator Stoyanova stopped responding to letters and the phone immediately, as soon as they informed her that the patient no longer exists. NO ONE! neither she, nor "phoenix", nor the clinic, they even expressed condolences ... It hurts to realize that nothing human is left in people ... Not good. The people that I had appointments with did not show up. I met with others who seemed to doubt my records and then claimed that my medical imaging showed no problems whatsoever. I returned home and now seem to have pneumonia in the top of my lungs around the vertebra that are known to have lesions (T1,T2,T3). I consider your service to be a fraud.

The coordinator was helpful and provide the information as far as possible. The hospital arranged a native Cantonese speaker who acted as a translator. This arrangement facilitated the communication. The consultation was abit rush as the doctor had other engagement and needed to leave for urgent duties. On the treatment aspect, hope to have more explanation and medical advice. On request, the coordinator brought us to visit the wards and private rooms and that helped me to understand the environment if I choose to treat in Fuda hospital.

Extended extirpation of the uterus with appendages is one of the most complex operations in gynecological oncology . The technical complexity of the procedure is due to the removal of not only the uterus, but also the lymphatic vessels, nodes, which are in close relationship with the large vessels of the pelvis. Among other things, during the Wertheim operation, the doctor must manipulate the bladder, ureters and nerve trunks.

An effective treatment for advanced cervical cancer.

During surgery, serious complications can develop: extensive bleeding, dysfunction of the urinary tract and the appearance of fistulas in the postoperative period. Also, with insufficient radicality of the procedure, the number of relapses of the pathology increases. Given these facts, it is extremely important to choose an experienced oncosurgeon to perform the Wertheim operation . It is the professionalism of the doctor that determines the successful outcome of the operation and a favorable prognosis after the treatment of cervical cancer.


Extended extirpation of the uterus is performed at 1, 2 stages of cervical cancer in the absence of metastasis. Surgical treatment in this case is combined with sessions of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Preoperative irradiation can significantly reduce the biological ability of cancer cells to metastasize.

During this operation, the surgeon removes the body and cervix. This is the most common surgical intervention in the treatment of cancer of the body and cervix. During the procedure, the appendages, ovaries and fallopian tubes are preserved.

Wertheim operation ( extended hysterectomy )

Wertheim's operation is also called an extended hysterectomy or extirpation of the uterus with appendages, adjacent tissue, lymph nodes and the upper third of the vagina. A rather traumatic surgical intervention, which is performed in the presence of highly differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix without the presence of metastases and with a depth of germination of no more than 1 cm. The operation can be prescribed for long-term complications after radiotherapy, with relapses of the disease.

Radical hysterectomy

Removal of the cervix and body of the uterus with the ovaries, fallopian tubes, upper part of the vagina and lymph nodes. Indications for radical hysterectomy are endometrial cancer, oncology of the body and cervix.

Technique of the Wertheim operation

Open (cavitary) operation

The operation is performed through an open incision in the anterior abdominal wall. As a rule, it is used in cases where the tumor does not respond to any other treatment. Wertheim's operation with an open (abdominal) method is the most traumatic intervention with heavy blood loss and a long rehabilitation period. Foreign specialists, if possible, refuse the technique of open surgery in favor of laparoscopy.

Laparoscopic hysterectomy

The surgeon removes the uterus using laparoscopic equipment without large incisions in the abdomen. During the operation, the doctor makes several small incisions in the abdominal cavity, through which the tubes are inserted. Further, through the installed tubes, the necessary tools with a video camera are inserted inside. For a better view and the ability to access the uterus, the abdominal cavity is also filled with a special gas that lifts the abdominal wall above the organs. The likelihood of complications during the operation is minimized.

Examination before Wertheim's operation

Immediately before the extirpation of the uterus, the patient undergoes laboratory examinations:

general and detailed blood test (including clotting); Analysis of urine; biopsy; ECG; ultrasound.

Features of the Wertheim operation

Contraindications for extended hysterectomy:
  • germination of the tumor deep into the tissues to the walls of the pelvis;
  • the presence of severe comorbidities;
  • obesity 3-4 degrees;
  • elderly age.
Disadvantages of extended hysterectomy:
  • high invasiveness of the operation;
  • long-term rehabilitation;
  • loss of ctive function;
  • for six months, the patient is prohibited from serious physical activity;
  • within 6 months it is worth refraining from sexual intercourse.
