CyberKnife procedure is performed in the Radiotherapy Department of Apollo Hospital. The onco-radiologists carry out the procedure.
Apollo doctors use CyberKnife as an alternative to surgical intervention. The device affects the tumor with a high dose of radiation. The instrument adapts to patient’s movements (breathing).
The accuracy of irradiation is up to 0.5 mm. The procedure is performed under the control of CT.
1 treatment session lasts 2-4 hours. The process is applied on an outpatient basis. After the procedure, a patient may come back home.
