My neck, face and eyes are looking fabulous
I had a deep plane face lift and neck lift also eyelid surgery by Dr MED. . I was treated extremely well before and after my surgery. My chaperone for my 7 day stay was Muhlise who spoke fantastic English and supported me from beginning to end of my stay in Turkey, she was calming and understanding and supported me with all my needs , always smiling and happy to help . I had a fantastic experience by staff in n the hospital and Muhlise , my neck ,face and eyes are looking fabulous. Thankyou to all and especially Muhlise .

After a conversation with Pavel Popkov a few days later I had a visit to Dr. Grönefeld, to which I was traveling for a second time regarding the arrhythmia of the heart. Pavel and his colleague-coordinator in Germany-Lydia were in contact with me all the time, worried about me. On the day of the visit, I was met in Asclepios Barmbek, helped to arrange all the documents, I was introduced to the doctor and sent for examination. The clinic is modern, equipped with the latest equipment, the medical staff is friendly and speaks English. Dr. Grönefeld made the most positive impression, gave us as much time as needed, answered all the questions, explained everything and told. After the visit, I have an understanding of what I need to do next.

Everything is high. The doctor came before the operation (did ablation) and said that it gives 99%, which will be a good result. Chamber for one person, everything you need is there, everything is thought out. Coordinator Pavel answered all my questions very promptly.

Honestly, the best experience ever. I came to turkey on my own. The staff were lovely and so supportive. I felt secure and well cared for. I was treated at Hospital. My appointment with Dr suggested a few tweaks to the initial treatment plan and I was reassured by this that he had my best outcome in mind. He was very professional and gave you lots of confidence. I met my anaesthesiologist and the chief medical director. There was not one time I felt that I did not know what was going on. I wish all the staff Akylay who helped me through this a big thank you. It is only 5 days post surgery. But my checkup with Dr MED today went well. Very little pain and swelling going down nicely. A special mention to the staff at hotel Modus who looked after me with bags of ice for swelling and lovely food and to Akilay who was my guide through all this and made sure that not only did I get everything I needed…….but I made the most of my time here in Istanbul, which is a beautiful city.

Admittedly, when I booked the surgery, I was a little sceptical that everything would go well. After all, everything was done online. However, I was very impressed with how good and friendly the constant communication was. I was already feeling increasingly confident here. I also received very good, uninterrupted and professional treatment and care on site. My doctor Dr Burak and my contact person Olivia were very friendly and incredibly helpful. The transfers - to/from the airport or to follow up appointments at the clinic - were very good and reliable. It was a terrible experience which I never want to go through again. Upon arrival at the hospital, the consultant , Jeab who led me there was not present to receive me. Instead I was attended by the medical sstaff who flatly shot down the agreed quotations offered by Jeab and even said they do not need the VDO anymore so they could not offer me what Jeab did and I was told I had to pay 3 times the proce of what I was offered before. Consequent to the price dispute, there were lots of bleak moments between the consultant and the medical staff internally then I was made to wait for over two hours then they suddenly reversed to ask for VDO compromised on an agreed price. I repeated said no to revealing my face for the VDO and the secretary Kimmy assured me my face will not be shown on camera. Prior to seeing the doctor, I was told to made payment first. For every doctor consultation, I had to go to the cashier to complete the payment and I was seeing two different doctors meant I had to repeat same process twice touring the entire medical centre so many times. What was most stupid was that I was never informed that I had to pay out of pocket for the Covid-9 test which I deem really unfair when there was konsixh prior information and they just dumped all the hidden cost on me. I only did the arm Vader+body tite along with pick laser for vaginal and I was made to go from building to building spending 7 hours there the entire day is really uncalled for!!!

the trip to the clinic was usually. I got advice, paid a doctor, translator and intermediary, did not receive receipts for these payments. But I don’t understand what the bonus actually consisted of, which I ordered through Bookimed and how to really get it. After this trip, I again received a letter about the bonus, but, in my opinion, these letters really do not cost anything.

Yes - overall support was brilliant. Fouad from Bookimed was so patient with me and so helpful, and not sure Teresa ever sleeps. Thank you both! However due to timing I think the initial 24 hours I assume would be better usually, but it is holiday season - I think better expectation setting there and having someone on hand at departure who could inform me of the steps and answer my questions - but despite this I am sure the follow up for me in that short window would not being the usual experience as otherwise the support was amazing and I was given time during holidays by Dr G which I value and appreciate - it is an important time of the process though so I would recommend having someone like Mercedes on hand! It’s scary seeing yourself after surgery and I was left feeling very unaware for nearly 48 hours!
I do want to highlight that everyone in the hospital was great and professional the two nurses who looked after me directly after the surgery were so lovely and obviously all involved in the surgery and end to end treatment - but extra special thanks to you Mercedes - a really special human and very valuable member and representative of the organisation and hospital! I was hungry, the hotel can be found better for such money. The nurse after the operation pricked 3 times hands not qualitatively. Who has fear to needles, blood, and I have this fear, on my request to call a specialist, I was refused.
