In the questionnaire, there was a question regarding my health concerns which I responded to. I feel that those concerns were not visited with any doctors.
I liked the speed of the procedures and professionalism of the program staff. But it felt like I was on a factory line, too robot-like.
Wish I had known that I could keep my phone with me. I saw others using phones while waiting to get in to exam rooms but I did not now we were allowed to have phone on us.

I'll start with the organizers from the bookimed website, they are terrible, a lady named Olga Tarnavskaya, promising all the appointments to the clinics, promising that their coordinator from the clinic would meet us, she lied as best she could. We were met by an interpreter who had no idea of our medical history, where should we start,. Olga Tarnavskaya was interested in how much money my parents and I were spending quietly so that after our departure we would know in advance how much interest we would receive. The staff of the memorial clinic turned out to be two times worse than these, a clinic that says we are 1st in Turkey and 21st in the world, the level of service is below the baseboard, The doctors are not bad, but for this money they are trying to knock you out as much as possible by driving you into all unnecessary rooms they don’t rip off real money, in Germany for this money you can be treated by good professors, you won’t be re-recorded 10 times like in a memorial, the girls at the receptions are a separate story, it feels like you owe them something, it’s not real are arrogant. I am not a competitor and not a paid review, I am a real person who does not advise going to this clinic for treatment.

It was not very pleasant that after paying a fairly round sum for the examinations, they were forced to wait for reception in the general queue. Perhaps it is difficult to organize, but I would like some other relationship for my money. The specialists are generally friendly and professional, but some of them will not give too much advice, because this is not included in the paid program.

I’ll start from the very arrival in Istanbul: firstly, the meeting person was 40 minutes late when the airport drove us back, the driver was almost late for an hour, we barely managed to get on the plane, of course there’s a big minus, but the transfer from the hotel to the clinic and back within 3 days was provided on time, which is very good. The recommendations for the clinic are as follows: it is necessary to organize an unhindered and quick examination process. For example, we examined the whole family of 2 adults, 2 children, signed up in advance, but we spent 3 days instead of the planned 1 day and this is only a gastrointestinal examination. We give one analysis / examination, then we wait until the turn comes to another office, and so for 3 whole days. If the clinic claims to be international, then it is clear that patients will be from different parts of the world, and every day of their stay this time and money, so they need to make the process continuous for the patient. They should be “sharpened” at the reception of foreigners quickly and efficiently, this should be a separate direction in the clinic, and not between affairs. For example, I had experience in a clinic in South Korea, they sent everything to me at the hotel in advance: a questionnaire, instructions, etc. Upon arrival at the clinic, I went through all the rooms within a few hours, and then after waiting a little I got the results in Russian, which is the basis for questions to the doctor who advises you. In Medicana, some of the tests that were received at the time of the consultation with the doctor were only in Turkish, in this case, what questions can I have for the doctor? what to discuss with him? If the clinic really claims to be international, English should be a priori. I asked for them in English, but they said it would also take time. Most of the results said will be in a week, then they will translate into English. Now the problems are for me, when they will give me the results and appointments, get them in Bishkek and how then to buy medicines in Istanbul and bring them to Bishkek. For 3 days, I left almost $ 4,500 for examinations in the clinic and I believe that the quality of the services and the service do not correspond to the price.

My husband and I thought that the $800 price included a gastrointestinal check-up, but this was only an endoscopy, then she asked us to undergo an ultrasound, an MRI and a blood test, which ultimately more than doubled the price. We initially asked for his package on the gastrointestinal tract and he provided prices at the Liv clinic, then we asked him for a cheaper clinic, and he suggested Medicana, but did not clarify that $800 was only for endoscopy. I am satisfied with the Check up service
I've visited Memorial Sisli Hospital for the VIP check up. Luckily, I've decided to make a booking through bookimed rather than directly as the company helped me later on when I experienced some problems at the hospital.
It was very easy to make an appoitment and I'd like to thank Anton for patiently helping me to navigate through different hospitals and selecting the right package. Upon my arrival in Istanbul, bookimed organized a transfer to and from hotel to the hospital though due to the traffic there was some waiting time. Contact persons from Bookimed were always ready to answer any questions and provide support.
In regard to the services provided by the hospital, I am generally satisfied with the VIP check up provided. Though following the tests I was referred for additional tests and consultations not covered by the package. I arrived the next day for the results and instead of in person consultation was told by an interpreter that all is well. I was very surprised with such level of services as I was requested to pay for the consultation of a professor a day before and instead received an oral statement from an interpreter. I've asked for a consultation with the professor as has been agreed before, but was told that she has left for the day. I then demanded a refund as I did not obtain a service, i.e. consultation of a professor. The hospital then sent a nurse to tell me that the tests were ok. I was still not satisfied as I was expecting a consultation from the doctor, not the nurse or an interpreter. In addition, as the therapist a day before raised concerns for me and sent me for these additional tests, I really wanted to clarify the situation and ask questions. Unfortunately, the hospital could not provide it as apparently there were no other doctors available in this field. This whole second day was a big disappointment as it seems the hospital staff did not care about helping me once I was done with the VIP check up, they also did not try to find alternative solutions. It felt as a scam, as the day before the doctor sends you for additional tests and then you do not get anything out of these tests - not a consultation. Only after repeated demands I was given a hand written note which said the tests were ok, but it did not look as a proper test results comparable to the ones I did a day before.
Considering that additional tests and consultations were not cheap, I requested a refund. It took almost the whole day to obtain a refund, the hospital could no longer provide me with an interpreter neither in Russian nor in English and I felt disappointed. The interpreters who are assigned for check up were busy with other clients and could not attend to my situation. I was left waiting for about 4 hours while the hospital management was making a decision. Finally, with many thanks to an interpreter from Memorial Bahçelievler hospital, I believe her name was Olga, the situation was resolved. Olga showed herself as a professional and a very caring specialist. I managed to obtain my refund. I also appreciate the support bookimed provided throughout the situation.
Once I left, there were some other test results that I expected to obtain in the next week. Unfortunately, it again took forever to get these results back and required bookimed to follow up on several occasions with the hospital. I do appreciate Barbara's follow up with me and her following up with the hospital.
Overall, I am satisfied with the Check up service, but very dissatisfied with the follow up procedure and lack of consultation. I will not choose this particular hospital for future check ups, as if you're paying you should receive service and not deal with the issues and feel like a scam.

I had a VIP checkup at Hisar International Hospital, I liked it very much! The process was efficient, I went through all the examinations without any delays. Modern equipment, experienced doctors and friendly staff. The interpreter Rabia accompanied me everywhere and translated everything very well.

Good and friendly staff, met and went straight to all necessary lab tests. Breakfast is included in the check-up. We had to wait a bit for answers from doctors and laboratory. I have a neoplasm in my kidney over 30 mm. Prof Ahmet-Tunç Ozdemir performed the operation within 1.5 hours and he has golden hands. Dear readers, if anyone wants to be treated abroad, come specifically to Florence Nightingale and find Prof Ahmet-Tunç Ozdemir and you will not go wrong with your choice. I was discharged on the second day after surgery, I feel great and recovery is underway. In terms of the cost of paying for the surgery, compared to other clinics in Turkey, it is realistic and inexpensive. Mr Ahmet-Tunc Ozdemir, my family and I wish you good health, longevity, good luck in everything and that you stay for a long time saving patients from various diseases, Allah help you. I'm 32 years. Left-sided coxarthrosis. I was looking for options for superficial endoprosthetics. I turned to bookimed and I was offered a clinic in Austria. The operation was estimated at about 30-32 thousand euros, but since the technique is innovative (ceramic surface prosthesis for young patients), I agreed. Before that, I several times discussed what kind of operation we are talking about with the contact person from bookimed (Roman) and the doctor. Upon arrival in Austria, Roman met me. A very pleasant and caring person, I am very grateful to him for his help and a warm welcome. The next day after arriving in the morning, I ended up in the clinic. I went through all the necessary tests, and they brought me 2 contracts for signing, 1 from an anesthesiologist, the second for prosthetics. I noticed that the contract for Hip Replacement (replacement of the hip joint), and I was going to the Hip Resurfacing procedure and I had doubts. Two nurses forced me to sign a contract, but without communicating with the doctor, I refused. After Dr. Stefan Malkowitz came, I started a conversation with him about the procedure, as it turned out the doctor deceived me and wanted to do a regular total arthroplasty. He skillfully tried to manipulate on the patient's weaknesses (you will quickly recover, you will not have any pain, etc.) in every possible way, avoiding a direct answer about the prosthesis. As a result, it turned out that he did not do such a procedure (Hip Resurfacing) and began to move out, that he did not understand me. In fact, he was given all the information about the procedure that I wanted to do, the doctor apparently thought he could do it. In fact, I spent 2 days of which 11 hours spent on the road. A bunch of stress and pain nerves in the leg. From here I learned several lessons: 1. Read the contracts that are slipped to you for signature. 2. Discuss all the details several times before the trip. 3. In Europe, people are deceived in the same way as elsewhere

I underwent Gamma Knife surgery on my trigeminal nerve at Medical Park Clinic and I would like to express my huge gratitude to all the medical staff and especially to the professor who performed the procedure.
The operation was difficult, as it involved the trigeminal nerve and there was a risk of injury to nearby nerves. However, thanks to the professionalism and high qualifications of the professor, everything went well. He performed the procedure with jewellery precision, minimising possible risks and ensuring an excellent result.
The Medical Park clinic also impressed with its high level of service, attentive attitude to patients and modern technological base. I felt in safe hands from the moment of consultation to the end of the rehabilitation period.
I would recommend this clinic and especially the professor to anyone who needs treatment related to trigeminal nerve. Thank you for your work and care!

There was an operation on the soft palate and a gastrocheck. The professor surgeon, a conscientious and attentive person, did an excellent job. There would be more such specialists. I have questions for the accompanying Russian office, nurses and ultrasound doctor: 1) The catheter was installed only the fourth time, and as a result, I now have a damaged vein in my arm that can no longer be restored 2) the ultrasound doctor found two cysts in the thyroid, 1.2 cm each , although this had never happened before, upon arrival home I did a double check, the cysts turned out to be 1.2 mm each, perhaps in the conclusion the comma was placed in the wrong place, or the fact that the doctor was very young 3) support and organization for 3, they took payment for a separate fee, but except for me there was also a man. They promised to recalculate, but they never did, after 3 months. Then I sent photographs to show them to the professor to make sure that everything was ok with the larynx, I first checked whether it was possible to send them. I've been waiting two weeks for an answer, and now they're completely ignoring me. The impression is that after receiving payment, attention and interest in the patient ends.
