A linear accelerator is used for irradiation procedure. Its rays affect only malignant tissues and do not damage healthy cells. A radiologist determines required radiation intensity depending on the size and shape of the tumor. The device affects the formation with an accuracy of 0,5 mm. Full treatment can take up to 2 months to complete. Radiotherapy is carried out for outpatients.
