Daniel Zimpfer

Professor Daniel Zimpfer is a highly trained cardiac and vascular surgeon with an MBA in Health from WU Vienna and a surgery program from Harvard Medical School. He is the Head of the Department of Surgery for Congenital Heart Diseases and a member of various national and international societies and journals in the field of cardiovascular surgery.
Daniel Zimpfer studied medicine in Vienna and received special training in cardiac surgery and vascular surgery at MedUni Vienna. He has a Master of Business Administration in Health (WU Vienna) and completed a surgery program at Harvard Medical School. In 2012, he became medical director of the mechanical circulatory support program, and since 2014 he became the head of the Department of Surgery for Congenital Heart Diseases. Professor Zimpfer is a member of numerous national and international specialized societies, steering committees and reviewers in several leading specialized journals in the field of cardiovascular surgery
