Dr. Ottavio Alfieri is an award-winning heart surgeon with over 15 years of experience in cardiac surgery, performing more than 15,000 cardiac procedures. He is the author of over 600 peer-reviewed articles and several books devoted to cardiac surgery, and is the developer of the "Alfieri Mitral Repair" technique. He has been awarded numerous honors, including the 'Ambrogino d'Oro' and the gold medal from the European Cardiology Society for his contributions to the field. He is a member of the European Society of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, the European Society of Cardiology, and the American Association for Thoracic Surgery.

Professor Nadia Di Muzio is a Head of the Radiotherapy Department in the San Raffaele Research Hospital in Milan since 2008. She has a degree in general medicine and surgery and specialty in oncological radiotherapy from the University of Milan and has done an internship at the Department of Radiation Oncology in the University of Madison. Professor Di Muzio is an author of 200 studies in radiation oncology research and an advocate of high-precision hypofraction methods in the radical treatment of prostate tumors. She currently holds positions in the Italian Association of Medical Oncology, the Italian Society of Oncological Urology and the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology.

Associate Professor of Thoracic Surgery with European Board qualifications. Head of mini-invasive thoracic surgery unit, specializing in the treatment of lung and pleural diseases and mediastinal disorders. Member of Italian Society of Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Endoscopy, as well as author of a monograph and over 200 scientific publications.

After receiving his Medical Degree, Board Certification in Allergy and Clinical Immunology, and PhD in Basic and Applied Immunology, Dr. Della Torre worked for 3 years in the United States at the “Ragon Institute of Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Harvard Medical School” in Boston. Thanks to a Cariplo Foundation research grant, Dr. Della Torre returned to Italy in 2018 and established his lab within the Division of Genetic and Cell Biology of San Raffale Hospital (Milan, Italy).

Dr. Della Torre is now Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University and Senior Consultant at the Unit of Immunology, Rheumatology, Allergy, and Rare Disease (UnIRAR) of San Raffaele Hospital.

Dr. Della Torre authored more than 100 scientific publications on international peer-reviewed journals and achieved prestigious awards such as the Collegio Ghislieri and the Cariplo Foundation awards for young researchers, the TRIDEO award, the MyFirst AIRC research grant, and the Career Research Grant Award from the FOREUM Foundation.

With his seminal works Dr. Della Torre contributed to the characterization of a novel autoimmune disease known as “IgG4-related disease” and is currently considered “World Expert of IgG4-related disease” by the prestigious Expertscape platform.

Dr. Della Torre is the Disease Coordinator of the IgG4-related disease European working group of the European Reference Network (ERN) on Rare Connective Tissue and Musculoskeletal Diseases (ReCONNET).

Up to September 2022, his scientific publications received more than 6000 citations with an H-index of 35.

Dr. Della Torre presented his studies in different national and international immune-rheumatologic congresses, organized a number of scientific meetings, and co-authored 10 medical books. Dr. Francesco Bedogni is an Interventional Cardiologist at San Donato Hospital in Milan and a European proctor for TAVI and MITRACLIP. He is a board member of the Italian Society of Interventional Cardiology and is responsible for multiple clinical studies and position papers.

Professor Fabio Carmignani is a specialist in andrology, urology, and prostatic biopsy under MRI guidance. He has been the Director of the Urology Department at Policlinico San Donato Research Hospital in Milan since 2007 and has over 10,000 surgeries to his credit. Dr. Andrés J.M. Ferreri is a medical oncologist with over 300 scientific papers published related to lymphoma treatment. He is a Deputy Director at the Hematology Oncology Department and Director of the Lymphoma Unit at the San Raffaele Scientific Institute, as well as Founder of the Italian Lymphoma Foundation. He is a member of various prestigious medical organizations and a Contract Professor of Oncology at the Università Vita-Salute San Raffaele.

Prof. Luigi Massimo Zagra is the Head of the Hip Surgery Department I at the IRCCS Istituto Ortopedico Galeazzi in Milan.

He is the visiting professor at the School of Specialization in Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the University of Milan.

Prof. Zagra has performed more than 5,000 major orthopaedic operations.

Mainly focused on hip surgery including complex primary, revision (25% of cases), conservative surgery, osteotomies, and pediatric hip diseases arthroplasty.

He performs hip replacement surgery daily for osteoarthritis, particularly in cases of congenital dysplasia, developmental and post-traumatic malformations, rheumatoid arthritis, necrosis in young and old patients, needing special implants to prevent any possible complications. 

Dealing with problems with previously placed implants, in particular material wear and tear, such as in metal-on-metal or old-generation polyethylene prostheses, painful, loose, unstable, infected prostheses, using tissue-safe and non-invasive methods and the latest ceramic and titanium implants, including cemented ones.

He is currently Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the European Hip Society and the Italian Hip Society, as well as a member of the Executive Committee of EFORT, of International Committee of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Arthroplasty Registry. 

He is author and co-author of 130 articles published in national and international journals, as well as invited specialist and speaker at over 500 congresses in Italy and abroad.
