The founder of Smile Academy, Dr. Dr. Yaprak Kalkan was born in Istanbul in 1988. She graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry in 2011. She went to Turku University in Finland to carry out the experiments of her studies on diabetic patients during her doctorate, which she started in the Department of Periodontology of the same university. After working in corporate and VIP health institutions such as Maslak Acıbadem Hospital, she planned to open her own clinic to take her profession to a different point and laid the foundations of Smile Academy. She has many national and international scientific publications and papers. She took part in the management many times in the leading scientific organizations of the profession, such as the 101st FDI World Dental Congress. In 2019, she assumed the position of Deputy Secretary General of the 25th International TDA Congress. She has been working as a member of the 2012-2016 Community Oral and Dental Health Commission, a member of the 2016-2020 Young Dentists Commission, and since 2018 as the General Assembly Delegate of the Turkish Dental Association at the Istanbul Chamber of Dentists.

Büşra Çağırıcı, a 2019 graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Dentistry, works as a responsible manager and general dentist within the scope of her successful education life. Candan Cantaş was born in Sivas in 1996 and completed her primary and secondary education there. Dentist Berat Can Palazoğlu was born in Ordu in 1996. He was born in Istanbul in 1992. He graduated from Istanbul (Male) High School in 2011, which he entered by being among the top 100 in Turkey in the 2006 high school entrance exam. He was entitled to receive the German High School Completion Diploma (Abitur), which is offered by the high school.

He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Dentistry in 2016. He is for his doctorate in Periodontology at Istanbul University, Department of Gum Diseases and Surgery.

He is working on his PhD thesis titled “Investigation of Blood Lipid Fractions in Rabbits and the Ability of Antiplatelet Drugs to Wet Titanium Surfaces with Different Surface Properties”.

He mainly focuses on providing pink smile aesthetics, gum color whitening, pink aesthetics, gingivectomy, gum correction, treatment of loose teeth, surgical closure of gum recession and treatments for periodontal bone loss. He has planned and carried out the treatment of countless cases. His hobbies include cycling, technological devices, reading, growing cacti, education and cinema.
