I have been involved in Obesity and Metabolic Surgery since 2011. Mainly in private practice. I have done over 2500 sleeve gastrectomy’s and more than 900 gastric bypass and metabolic surgery procedures with a total of over 3400 Obesity and Metabolic Surgery operations

Dr. Mehmet Yalim Uctum is a board-certified general surgeon. He has strong experience in obesity and advanced laparoscopic surgery. He completed his specialty training at Vakif Gureba Educational Research Hospital in Istanbul. He earned his qualification in 2010 with a thesis on incisional hernias.

Dr. Uctum was chief physician at Manisa Soma Private Vefa Hospital. He also worked at Eskişehir Acıbadem Hospital’s advanced laparoscopic and oncological surgery clinic. Dr. Cenan Oktay was born in 1965 in Plovdiv-Bulgaria. He completed his primary school education in Istanbul in 1977.
