Ayhan Ozcan, M.D., is a professor of pathology and worked as a faculty member in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara (2001-2016) and Yeni Yüzyil University, School of Medicine, Istanbul (2016-2018) in Turkey.

He was appointed to assistant professor in 2001, associate professor in 2006, and professor in 2015 in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara. 

He specializes in kidney pathology (medical and non-medical). He also served as director of electron microscopy in the Department of Pathology at Gülhane Military Medical Academy, School of Medicine, Ankara. 

He graduated from GMMA in 1991 at, where he stayed for pathology residency training for three years. His interests include nephropathology, genitourinary pathology, bone and soft tissue pathology, placental pathology, immunofluorescence, and electron microscopy.

He joined as a visiting professor in the Renal Pathology Division, Department of Pathology, Methodist Hospital in Texas for 1 year (2005-2006). After five years, he worked as a visiting scholar (about nephropathology and genitourinary pathology) in the Department of Pathology, School of Medicine, Indiana University for 4 months in 2010. He worked as a visiting scholar in the Renal and Transplant Pathology Laboratory and also as a researcher in Renal Research Laboratory, Department of Pathology, College of Medicine, Ohio State University for 8 months in 2011. 

He active scholarly endeavors include section editor and peer-reviewer for scientific journals, and lecturer in national scientific meetings. His H-index is 24. His international and national publications are as follows: 1 book editorial and 3 chapters authorship published in English by an international publishing house, Author of 6 chapters in the textbook published in Turkish by the national publishing house, International 103 articles, National 45 articles, 73 poster and oral presentations presented at international congresses, 105 poster and oral presentations presented at national congresses.

Prof. Dr. Süleyman Alıcı completed his medical education at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine. (1990) He later specialized in Internal Medicine between 1991-1995 at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Clinic. He worked as an Assistant Professor at Yüzüncü Yıl University Faculty of Medicine Internal Medicine Clinic between 1996-1997. He obtained his subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine (Çapa Medicine) between 1997-2000. Alıcı has over 70 published articles in international peer-reviewed journals and over 50 scientific studies published in domestic peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Dr. Ümmügül Üyetürk completed her undergraduate and graduate education at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine between 1988-1994. She specialized in Internal Medicine at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital from 1998 to 2003. Between 2008-2011, she received her subspecialty training in Medical Oncology at Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital.

After serving as the deputy chief physician at Suluova State Hospital, she established the Internal Medicine Department and Medical Oncology Science Branch at Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University between 2011-2020, where she served as the head of the science branch. During this time, she educated resident doctors and students. Üyetürk, who received the title of Associate Professor in 2014, spent 6 months in Canada/Toronto in 2019. Prof. Kıvanç Derya Peker completed his medical education and general surgery specialization at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). After his major specialization, he got his Gastroenterology Surgery Specialization from the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic of Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital by entering the top 3 in the minor examination.
