Selçuk Basa graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry in 1982. In 1986, he completed his specialty training in the field of Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry. After working at Pasteur Hospital between 1986-1990, he worked as Associate Professor and Deputy Director at Selçuk University between 1991-1994. Working at Marmara University between 1994-2016, Prof. Dr. Selçuk Basa served as Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry between 2004-2008.
