BRIEF SUMMARYOF WORK EXPERIENCE 

Including those I had transplanted during my fellowship at RUSH University in Chicago (n=86), I have performed a total of 705 liver transplants (%94 adult) both from living (%75) and cadaveric (%25) donors. And, additionally 340 kidney transplants which were mostly from living donors, too. Of these, 12 were combined liver and kidney transplantations either from cadaveric or living donors. Currently, I am the Director of Organ Transplant Program at GUVEN Hospital in Ankara. As of March 2018, here in GUVEN Hospital, we have performed 145 liver transplants (118 from living donors) with 1, 3 and 5 years patient survival of 91.2%, 86%and 83%, consecutively(ELTR data analysis). Since 1997, besides organ transplantation, I have also been operating on complicated hepato-pancreato-biliary patients

Vahit Onur Gül graduated from the Gülhane Military Medical Faculty in 1998. He became a general surgeon specialist in 2009 and a general surgery associate professor in 2020. He served as a military doctor in almost every city in our country. He received training in robotic surgery in the USA and microsurgery in Switzerland. He participated in many advanced laparoscopic surgery courses both domestically and internationally. Thanks to the professor and his team, the department has been modernised by introducing modern surgical methods of treatment and especially improved methods of post-operative recovery. The Department of Surgery at the Solingen Clinic is now further expanding its focus on minimally invasive surgery in the direction of robotics. The clinic has allocated a huge budget for the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment in order to offer patients a full range of surgical methods for the treatment of benign and malignant diseases of the oesophagus, lungs, stomach, liver, pancreas and intestines according to current guidelines and using the most modern technical equipment.

Professor Schenker is an active researcher and lecturer. He lectures at medical universities and organises seminars and workshops for colleagues. He cooperates closely with the Cancer Centre, the Pancreatic Cancer Treatment Centre, the Intestinal Cancer Treatment Centre and the Interregional Trauma Centre.

Born in Trabzon in 1972, Dr. İzzettin Kahraman began his medical studies at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 1989 and earned his Medical Doctor degree in 1995. Following two years as a general practitioner, he embarked on his specialization training in 1997. He completed his residency at Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital, becoming a General Surgery Specialist in 2002.

Dr. Kahraman worked as a General Surgery Specialist in public hospitals, including Trabzon Numune Hospital and Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, for 13 years. From 2016 to 2018, he served as a Lecturer at University of Health Sciences. In 2019, he transitioned to the private sector, continuing his career in private hospitals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Kahraman has engaged in a wide range of training programs both in Turkey and abroad. In 2007, he earned a Surgical Endoscopy Certificate and furthered his expertise in laparoscopic hernia treatments in Hamburg, Germany, in 2008. He also completed a course on Nutrition Practices and Training at Ondokuz Mayis University and a specialized course in laparoscopic hernia repair in Istanbul in 2010.

In 2011, after completing the "Emergency Surgery" course in Istanbul organized by the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ESTES), Dr. Kahraman received training in SILS (Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery) Cholecystectomy at Gazi University in Ankara. Since then, he has specialized in advanced laparoscopic techniques, with a particular focus on endoscopy, gastric diseases, obesity, and metabolic surgery.

In 2021, Dr. Kahraman obtained certificates in Ozone Therapy and Mesotherapy from Medipol University. 

Since 2023, he has been serving at Estexper Clinic, Istanbul.
