Dr. Kurt Schlemmer is an experienced Otorhinolaryngologist with over 14 years in clinical practice. He earned his MBChB from the University of Pretoria and an MMed in ENT from UKZN. He is also a Fellow of the College of Otorhinolaryngology of South Africa (FCORL, with distinction).
Dr. Schlemmer focuses on Otology, Neurotology, Lateral Skull Base, and Head and Neck surgery. He led the Durban Cochlear Implant Program for 8 years. He also serves as an honorary lecturer at UKZN. He has performed many advanced ENT procedures, such as cochlear implantation, stapedotomy, and endoscopic sinus surgery.
He is a member of several professional societies. He has published in leading journals and is a recognized reviewer, with 27 international peer reviews. His research has helped improve outcomes in both pediatric and adult ENT care.
