Prof. Kıvanç Derya Peker completed his medical education and general surgery specialization at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa). After his major specialization, he got his Gastroenterology Surgery Specialization from the Gastroenterology Surgery Clinic of Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Training and Research Hospital by entering the top 3 in the minor examination.

During his sub-branch assistantship, he received a scholarship from the Turkish Surgery Association and worked at Mayo Clinic (Rochester, USA) Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Clinic and Obesity-Metabolic Surgery Clinic. After returning to Turkey, He was one of the founders of the Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery unit at Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital. Peker provided Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery training to general surgery residents and gastroenterology surgery residents in this hospital, which is accepted as a training unit by the Turkish HPB Association.

Mr. Mohamed Aly MBBCh MPhil FRCS is a consultant general surgeon with a specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery and minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures. He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Brunel University London. His research interests include patient perspectives on surgical outcomes, health tourism, and advancing surgical safety standards. Prof. Filippini began his career in 1980 and has been teaching at the University of Chieti since the 1990s in the fields of General Surgery, Microsurgery, Reconstructive Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Orthopedics, and Gynecology. His primary focus is oncological surgery, particularly specializing in "The surgical treatment of locally advanced tumors and multi-organ resections." He has enriched his expertise by visiting prominent reference centers in the United States, including the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, New York City. There, he delved into minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and microsurgical techniques under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as John Daly, Michele Gagner, and Murray Brennan. Additionally, in 2005, he further expanded his skills at the City of Hope Oncology Center in Los Angeles, focusing on robotic surgery in oncology.

In 1980, Prof. Filippini graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the G. D'Annunzio University of Chieti in Italy with honors, presenting an experimental thesis on lympho-venous anastomosis using microsurgical techniques. He completed his specialization in general surgery at the University of Pisa with distinction after five years. In 1990, he obtained another specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the University of Padua in Italy, where he maintained a stellar academic record.

Prof. Filippini has presented at numerous national and international conferences and authored over 100 scientific publications. Additionally, he has co-authored two monographs. 

Prof. Dr. Erdem Akbal was born in 1978 in Kırıkkale. In 2015, he received training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Advanced Endoscopy Unit, focusing on Endoscopic Ultrasonography and advanced endoscopic procedures. In 2017, he trained at the Amsterdam Academic Medical Center in techniques such as endoscopic submucosal dissection, endoscopic mucosal resection, diffuse esophageal spasm, and endoscopic full-thickness resection for treating early-stage gastrointestinal sy tumors. He also received training in high-resolution manometry and POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy) for diagnosing esophageal diseases like achalasia. In 2018, he furthered his education in ESD and Balloon Enteroscopy at Jichi University.

Dr. Martin Claßen is a highly experienced pediatric gastroenterologist, specializing in functional disorders and inflammatory bowel disease in children and adolescents. He holds a degree in general medicine from the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, a specialty in pediatrics from the University Children's Hospital of Essen and a specialty in gastroenterology in children from the Children’s Hospital at the University Hospital Frankfurt.
