Professor Cechetmeier is an experienced surgeon and specialist in eye surgery. He is a doctorate holder from the University of Vienna, has a Ius Practicandi (license to practice as a general practitioner), and has been involved in various research projects in the field of ophthalmology. He is a member of various national and international societies and commissions, and has undergone refractive surgery himself.

The doctor is a graduate of Istanbul University School of Medicine and has completed fellowships at University Eye Clinics in Cologne and Tuebingen, Germany. They are a member of the DOG, AAO, ASCRS and ESCRS, and have certifications in LASIK application, presbyopia correction with multifocal intraocular lenses, scleral fixation techniques, corneal collagen cross-linking, femtosecond applications for anterior segment surgery and corneal topography analyzing. They have completed a PhD in Immunomodulatory Therapy of Uveitis and have attended several conferences and meetings, including the 42nd annual meeting of the European Pediatric Ophtalmological Society, World Ophtalmology Congress and Congress of European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

Professor Cechetmeier is a brilliant surgeon and specialist in eye surgery who has earned a doctorate from the University of Vienna, obtained a license to practice as a general practitioner, and has extensive experience in ophthalmology and optometry training. He has published 100 scientific papers and is a member of many national and international societies. He has even undergone refractive surgery himself and operated on his daughter, brother, and other family members.
