Dr. X is a European Gynaecological Oncologist accredited by the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO). He has a Faculty of Medicine Education from Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, and also completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology Specialization Training from the University of Health Sciences, Süleymaniye Obstetrics and Gynecology Training and Research Hospital. He has also received additional training in Gynecological Oncology Surgery, Minimal Access Surgery and has had international observerships in Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Leipzig School of Radical Pelvic Surgery, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, Policlinico Agostino Gemelli IRCCS, Division of Gynecologic Oncology, and other training and research hospitals.

Since January 1993, Dr. Totaro holds the role of the Coordinator of the MAP (Medically Assisted Procreation) Center and of the Obstetrics-Gynecological Ultrasound Center at the Ospedale Santa Maria at the Maternal and Child Department. Under his supervision the Center, one of the leading MAR centers in Italy, performs more than 1,000 procedures a year. Ospedale Santa Maria - is in first position, for number of cycles of IUI, intrauterine insemination (586) - level I technique, while for the number of oocyte thawing procedures - level II and III technique - the hospital of Santa Maria from Bari occupies the 4th place in the national ranking.

In 1986 Dr. Totaro graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Bari, Italy with full marks, where 4 years later he specialized in Gynecology and Obstetrics. He then completed his diploma with participation at numerous professional courses, such as "Biophysical and biochemical monitoring of the fetus" (one year course, 1991, Bari) and obtaining a diploma in Clinical Sexuology from the ELEUSIS – International Center for the study, research and therapy of female, male and couple sexual dysfunctions (two years course, 1996, Bari). 

In order to broaden his knowledge in the obstetrics-gynecological scientific field, Dr. Totaro participates, both as moderator and speaker and as organizer, in numerous conferences, symposiums, congresses and courses (over 40 national and international congresses) and is the author of more than 30 scientific publications.

Dr. Hosam is a Consultant Obstetrician, Gynecologist, and Urologist. He worked for 20 years in the NHS in the United Kingdom after obtaining his CCST as a Consultant Gynecologist with known expertise in the management of high-risk pregnancy, complex benign gynecology, and early-stage gynecological cancer. He worked as a Consultant and the Lead Urogynecologist at Sussex Healthcare Trust, where he has been practicing since 2004. Dr. Hosam has a special interest in prolapse, urinary incontinence, sexual dysfunction ( preservation surgery), menorrhagia, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and hysteroscopic gynecological surgery (for abnormal bleeding, pelvic masses, and pelvic pain). He established an integrated multidisciplinary urogynecology team across the trust. He had led the obstetrics and gynecology department as a clinical director to attain national British Society of Urogynecology accreditation. He has extensive clinical and surgical expertise to manage urinary incontinence, frequency, urgency, and recurrent cystitis and to perform pelvic reconstructive surgery for incontinence and uterovaginal prolapse. A subjective retrospective audit of his continence surgery showed a success rate of 86% and a success rate of prolapsed surgery of 91%. He is also interested in the management of sexual dysfunction, including vaginal corrective surgery. Dr. Hosam was chosen to be a Member of the International Urogynecology Association’s Publication Committee, and he was also the Editor of the expert corner in the IUGA newsletter.
