Prof. Dr. Ali Vefa YÜCETÜRK was born in Aydın in 1963. He graduated from Hakimiyetimilliye Primary School in 1974, Izmir Private Turkish High School in 1980, and graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1986.

After completing his compulsory service at Adıyaman's Çelikhan District Health Center in 1986-89, he specialized in Ear Nose and Throat Diseases at Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine between 1989-92 and worked in the same clinic as a specialist until 1994. In particular, his studies on snoring, obstructive sleep apnea, voice diseases, laryngeal cancer and ear microsurgery have been at the forefront.

Surgeon Ekrem Keskin was born in 1986 in Istanbul. He completed his education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 2010, and was awarded the title of Medical Doctor. Biography
Ahmet Köybaşıoğlu is a Professor and Doctor who was born in 1958. He entered Ankara University Faculty of Medicine in 1975 and completed his education, graduating in 1981. He completed his specialization in Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1982-1986.

While working as an ENT specialist at Ankara Dışkapı SSK Hospital, he also worked at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Cancer Research Center in the Netherlands. In 1997, he became an associate professor in the ENT Head and Neck Surgery department at Gazi University, and in 2003, he became a full professor.

In 1998, he worked on cases with his American colleagues at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in the United States. He conducted academic research for 16 years from 1996-2012, focusing on head and neck tumors. He also deepened his academic research in laryngology, which includes vocal cord and voice disorders.

He specialized in voice hoarseness, snoring, respiratory problems, dizziness, as well as nodules, polyps and vocal cord cysts in the larynx. His medical interests also include pediatric ENT diseases such as tonsillitis, adenoids, fluid accumulation in the ear, and congenital neck cysts.

He conducted academic research and publications on tumors and cancer diseases that occur in the mouth, nose, tongue, jaw, throat, and skin areas in the head and neck region. These diseases are his primary medical interest areas.

Dr. Md. Berat is a highly qualified medical professional specializing in facial and head and neck procedures, with expertise in rhinoplasty, facelift, and cochlear implants. Educated at Karadeniz Technical University and trained at Marmara University, he has contributed significantly to the field through roles at Marmara University Pendik Training and Research Hospital and BHT Clinic Istanbul Tema Hospital. As an active member of professional associations, including the Istanbul ENT-BBC Specialists Association, Dr. Berat stays current with advancements, as seen in his certifications from specialized courses. His commitment to excellence in otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery is evident through his extensive experience and ongoing contributions to the medical community.

Professor Antonino Spinelli is the Director of the Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Humanitas Research Hospital.

The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery is one of the most important centres for colorectal disease, especially for procedures of sphincter preservation for rectal tumours, but also for chronic inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn disease, ulcerative rectal colitis…) and the surgical treatment of diverticular pathologies. 

Professor Spinelli carries out a constant research on minimally invasive surgeries, including the single-port surgery, mini-laparoscopy, low-impact surgery and trans-anal techniques (TATME, TAMIS, TTSS). Furthermore, the advanced postoperative recovering is another area of his interest.

He graduated as MD in 2001 at University of Milano. During his education, he won several scholarships: he trained ad University of Berlin Charitè for two years at the Department of General, Visceral and Transplantation Surgery. Also, he obtained his PhD on Surgical Phsyiopathology with a dissertation on enhanced recovery for laparoscopic colorectal surgery in 2011. 

Current Teaching Activity: he is Full Professor of Surgery at Humanitas University. 

Also, Professor Spinelli is general Secretary of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and Board Member of the Guidelines Committee (GulCom) of the European Crohn Disease and Colitis Organization (ECCO). He is Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery (FASCRS), Honorary Fellow of the Czech Society of Surgery (CSS) and Honorary Member of the Brazilian College of Digestive Surgery (CBCD). 

He is a member of the International Organization for the study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IOIBD) and several other national and international scientific societies. 

In addition, Professor Spinelli serves as Associate Editor for Colorectal Disease (Journal of the Association of Coloproctology of Great Britain & Ireland, Royal College of Surgeons of England, of the European Society of Coloproctology and of the Spanish Society of Coloproctology – Asociación Española de Coloproctología), Diseases of the Colon and Rectum (official journal of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons), Journal of the Anus, Rectum and Colon (official journal of the Japan Society of Coloproctology).

He is Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Crohn’s Colitis (official journal of the European Crohn’s Colitis Organization), Advisory Board of Coloproctology (official journal of the German Society for Coloproctology – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Koloproktologie) and Editorial Board Member of Updates in Surgery (official journal of the Italian Society of Surgery – Società Italiana di Chirurgia).
