Dr. Bilal Ergul, MD, is a pioneering force in the field of gastroenterology.  

His innovative treatment protocols have transformed the lives of many patients, including a remarkable case where he successfully treated a patient with a Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy (POEM) surgery.

Dr. Bilal Ergul, often says, ‘Healing is more than treating a condition; it’s about restoring hope and improving lives.’ This philosophy is evident in every aspect of his work, making his and his team truly inspirational figure in the medical community."
He has authored around 100 publications in different academic topics

He was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Medicine. In 2012, he worked as an emergency medical assistant at Taksim First Aid EAH.

Between 2013-2018, he specialized in general surgery at Haseki EAH. Then, between 2018-2020, he completed his compulsory service at Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital. 

Since 2020, with Dr. Hasan Lice, they have worked with the Sava team for bariatric surgeries. He is married and has two kids.

He is also the deputy chief physician of the hospital.

Prof. Dr. Erdem Akbal was born in 1978 in Kırıkkale. In 2015, he received training at the Johns Hopkins Hospital Advanced Endoscopy Unit, focusing on Endoscopic Ultrasonography and advanced endoscopic procedures. In 2017, he trained at the Amsterdam Academic Medical Center in techniques such as endoscopic submucosal dissection, endoscopic mucosal resection, diffuse esophageal spasm, and endoscopic full-thickness resection for treating early-stage gastrointestinal system tumors. He also received training in high-resolution manometry and POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy) for diagnosing esophageal diseases like achalasia. In 2018, he furthered his education in ESD and Balloon Enteroscopy at Jichi University.

Prof. Dr. Aytaç ATAMER was born on January 31, 1964 in Adapazarı. He started his medical education at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and graduated in 1987. After completing his residency training at Dicle University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Atamer worked as a specialist physician at the Social Insurance Institution (SSK) Diyarbakır Hospital. He then continued to work as a specialist physician at Diyarbakır Training and Research Hospital.

In 2008, he completed his upper specialization at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic and in the same year, he was named Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. In 2011, he continued his duty with the duty of establishing Yalova State Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic and compulsory service and in 2013, he became a faculty member at Yalova University. Between 2017 and 2022, he worked as a Professor at Çamlıca Erdem Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic.

Since 2022, he has been working as a Gastroenterology Specialist and Internal Medicine Specialist at NPISTANBUL Brain Hospital.

Mr. Mohamed Aly MBBCh MPhil FRCS is a consultant general surgeon with a specialist interest in upper gastrointestinal (GI) surgery and minimally invasive (keyhole) procedures. He is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Brunel University London. His research interests include patient perspectives on surgical outcomes, health tourism, and advancing surgical safety standards. Mr. Aly has a busy general surgery practice that includes both elective surgeries, such as hernia repairs, gallbladder surgery, and upper GI endoscopy. His emergency surgery work includes appendicitis, bowel obstructions, obstructed hernias and other acute abdominal conditions.Mr. Aly trained extensively in prestigious institutions across the UK, including the University of Cambridge, and he completed advanced training at Luton and Dunstable Hospital, one of the UK’s highest volume complex Upper GI centres.In addition to his clinical practice, Mr. Aly is actively involved in surgical research. He has published influential work in the British Journal of Surgery (BJS) and has contributed to studies on patient-reported outcomes, particularly in hernia surgery.
