In 2007 he joined the Costa del Sol Hospital and left this position when he obtained an international scholarship that would take him back to San Francisco. In 2010 he moved to Japan to complete his training in the submucosal endoscopic dissection technique that he would later on introduce in Andalusia in 2011, thus becoming one of the pioneers in the performance of this technique in Spain. In 2011 he became the first medical professional in the world to use the 15-mm AXIOS stent in pancreatic fluid collection drainage. In 2018 he began to perform gastroenteroanastomosis with luminal apposition stent in patients with pancreatic cancer and bowel obstruction, thus becoming a pioneer in Andalusia to perform such technique.

He is a coauthor of the reference guides of the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy on the endoscopic treatment of chronic pancreatitis and non-variceal gastrointestinal haemorrhage.

Dr. Alon Pikarsky is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery and affiliated with Hadassah Medical Center. He speaks English and Hebrew and has been an instructor, lecturer and senior lecturer in surgery since 1995, 1999, and 2005 respectively. He has also been director of the Medical Students Program in the Department of Surgery since 1997 and the Residency Program Director since 2000. He was born in Istanbul in 1982. He graduated from Kocaeli University, Faculty of Medicine. In 2012, he worked as an emergency medical assistant at Taksim First Aid EAH.

Between 2013-2018, he specialized in general surgery at Haseki EAH. Then, between 2018-2020, he completed his compulsory service at Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital.

In 2017, he worked for three months at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, United States. In 2018, he became a minor specialist in Gynecological Oncology Surgery. In the same year, the European Society of Gynecological Oncology awarded him the personally accredited European Gynecologist Oncologist certificate (3rd person in Turkey). For about 1.5 years, he served at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital under the Obligation of Civil Service. In 2019, he participated in active surgery and cadaver work together with Michael Höckel, one of the pioneers of Gynecological Oncology at the University of Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany. That same year, he was a “visiting fellow” at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Rome, Italy.

He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in August 2019. He participated in numerous national and international congresses, symposiums and workshops and served as guest speaker. His surgery videos have been selected as training videos by the European Society of Gynecological Oncology and are published on their site for doctors.

He has 56 international and 10 national publications. He was the editor of the Turkish translation of the book, which is considered the main international source in Gynecological Oncology. He is the author of 7 chapters of international and national books. He has over 100 works in Turkey and abroad as oral presentations, poster presentations and panel presentations. He is refereeing for internationally respected journals. He has a good command of English. He follows up and implements all developments in his field.

Dr. Özer Akgül is an experienced Turkish Radiation Oncologist, with an MD from Uludag University Medicine School (Bursa) and residency from Ege University Hospital. He has proficiency in overseeing oncology trends, achieving set goals, understanding marketplace needs, and developing strategies. His areas of interest include breast cancer, lung cancer, prostate cancer, rectal cancer, head and neck cancers, cervical cancer, gastric cancer, and brain tumors. He has attended courses and conducted research in Nanobiotechnology, Genetics, Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Cancers, Bioinformatics, Bionanotechnological Methods, Clinical Radiobiology, Medical Radio Physics, Evidence-Based Radiation Oncology, Image-Guided Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy, Varian Advanced Techniques Clinical School, Stereotactic Radiotherapy, and Varian Advanced Imaging (IGRT). He is a member of TROD, Turkish Medical Association, MOKAD, and ESTRO.

Dr. Raj is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist with 19 years of experience and over 50,000 cancer surgeries performed. He is involved in numerous clinical trials and has many international and national publications to his credit. He specializes in Breast and Thoracic Surgical Oncology and serves as a professor for DNB Superspecialty Surgical Oncology and Breast Surgery at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences. His belief is in "adding life to years" and improving the quality of life, not just adding years to life.
