I got a septorhinoplasty by Dr Mustafa Arkacay, he did an excellent job and I’m extremely happy with the results, super professional and was very direct and good.
Now, what I’m not so happy with, is the admin and payment side of this hospital, along with the translators. I paid the full amount quoted the day before my surgery (June 21st), and had the surgery done on June 22nd.
The next day after my surgery, while I’m still disoriented and unsure; I was taken to the payment office to make another payment of $179 usd. I wasn’t sure of this charge, as it wasn’t included in my quote, but I paid it because of confusion (mind you I’m by myself).
I was then also taken out to the lobby area, with a nose dripping with blood, and told that all cars were busy, and none were able to take me back to my hotel, so I should walk or take the bus (this is told by the translator). I had to contact my coordinator who told me that there’s been a bunch of confusion on the translators part, and she organised it for me (Dilara has been super helpful).
Now, I questioned the $179 charge to another translator a few days later, who told me that shouldn’t have happened. So my question is where was this money going to?
It’s been nearly 5 months since my surgery, and I’m still yet to see the refund in my account. I’m disappointed to say the least, and while the surgeon was excellent, it’s these experiences that dampen the overall experience.
Again, surgeon was 10/10, but the admin and payment system of this hospital is frustrating to say the least.
Would definitely be cautious if you’re booking a surgery through them, and make sure not to make any other payments after your surgery (if you’ve already paid in full).
I didn’t want to leave a bad review, but I’ve given them so much time to amend this issue, and it’s still not fixed, so what can I do instead of give my honest feedback.
