My father was treated at the St. Zdislava Clinic (Da Vinci robot surgery radical prostatectomy! The operation was performed by Jan Doležen (a very experienced prostate surgeon). Bookimed helped in organising the trip, they always answered my questions, thank you Julia, thank you also to the organiser Irina Korchminskaya, who also helped in organising the trip. Dad was met, in the clinic always took care of Dad interpreter Otakar, if something was needed, was on the phone and came, who speaks fluent Ukrainian and Russian, many of the medical staff understand Russian. There was constant care in the clinic, they always came, cleaned, fed me delicious food and took care of me. Dad was in the clinic for more than 7 days, they did not require additional payment. My name is Sergey, St. Petersburg, I am 65 years old and I have had prostate cancer. 03/19. 19 I got a PSA 6.26 analysis result. (I periodically donated blood for PSA, as there were some problems of a urological nature, besides, I was at risk, my father had prostate cancer) I turned to an oncologist, did an MRI of the pelvis, which showed that I in the left lobe of the gland, a capsule of 20x8 mm, conclusion: PIRADS 5, as bad as possible, as the doctor said. Next, the biopsy that confirmed the cancer, “Acinar Adenocarcinoma of the Prostate,” the total score for Gleason 6. Of course it was a hit! Although I understood that this is quite possible. My relatives helped me a lot: wife, children (I have two sons), wife of the eldest son (I do not like the word daughter-in-law). And then the question, "where to do the operation?" The visit to Helios Hospital Krefeld was an utter disaster. I had tests that in Spain would cost around €300 and the overall cost was around €2700. The German hospital charging system for private patients was completely opaque. Bookimed fed us the wrong information throughout the process together with a company that we had never heard of called DMU. Thus we spent a fortnight of useless costs in Germany having be told that my treatment would be around 10 to 14 days. The stress of this together with Prostate Cancer has been immense and we must now return to Spain financially poorer and with very little extra information.
Everything was well organised. From the first call to bookimed until the completion of all procedures. Everything was organized impeccably. Special thanks to my medical coordinator Alexandra, she was constantly in touch and solved all the questions that arose instantly. Thanks a lot!!!
It is clear that there can be practically no guarantees in life, and as for health-healing, it is generally high matter, but when dealing with Bukimed and the clinic recommended by them, we received exhaustive consultations, professional examinations and appointments. For that very grateful!
I had a terrible experience. Dr. Zielinski was dismissive and rushed me, he hasn't answered my questions and he asked me for more tests in order to speak about treatment plans when I was told previously that I didn't need any tests in order to proceed with the consultation and receive a treatment plan. He didn't bother to explain the disease or treatment options. I was looking forward to speak to him and I put so much hope. I needed someone to explain and guide me. I was left with such a bed feeling after the consultation. No empathy and no professionalism.
Bookimed apologise but they said that they can't do anything because I paid directly the clinic, even if they are the intermediary they don't take responsibility, so be very careful when booking any services.
I wasted 400 euros for 10 minutes that I was trying to make a few questions in order to get some value for the money but the only thing I got was disappointment, frustration, stress and time waste for arguing. I asked for at least to have some questions asked in writing so I could get something back for my money, but they refused, and they said that the consultation was compleated. In the first place, they said that I had a second consultation for free because it wasn't compleated, and then they said it was a mistake and the consultation was compleated.
Please be careful where you spend your money and put your hopes because they don't care about taking advantage of ill people in order to make money. Probably are not all the same but my experience was awful and I am very disappointed. Some become doctors because they want to help people and others have no feelings or empathy.
I hope this helps whoever is reading and I hope you find a better option than I did with a doctor that cares and will help you.

The benevolent staff really helped make this experience less painful in all respects
My dad, radiation therapy, 40 sessions, about 2 months of stay in Istanbul were treated in the clinic. It's still early to speak about the results, therefore the review is exclusively about the process (!) For now.
The choice helped to make bookimed, and I highly recommend using this excellent service. As a user, I would like to name the most basic plus. First and foremost, it is time saving, and in some cases it is equivalent to the preservation of health and life. And what is important, without costs for the patient, there is simply no payment for the company's service.
Moreover, service coordinators are a huge resource for patients. We had Konstantin, and we are very grateful for the help and the choice of the best medical solution (at the price / quality / reputation of the doctor / clinic) and great help in solving logistical issues. When we have to deal with "medical tourism", there are no tourism patients for the patients there: (In addition to the medical problem, there are many practical, financial, coordination issues. It is important to have support on the side of the patient, we are very grateful.
Now about the clinic: in general, the clinic liked, very modern and good equipment (so it was chosen), a good price-quality ratio. .
From the pros: the doctor radiologist and the staff of the radiological department were attentive and in matters of medicine, and just a relationship. 40 sessions are 40 visits to the clinic, it is difficult, both physically and morally. The benevolent staff really helped make this experience less painful in all respects.
I will not write much about the interior of the clinic, but for whom the aesthetics are important, yes, everything is excellent, modern, clean, often more like a hotel.
As elsewhere, there is a large team of translators. To communicate with doctors used English directly, there certainly are many advantages. But all 40 sessions and not only were always assisted by translators in communicating with junior honey. personnel, coordination issues, medical records to the doctor, analyzes, transfers, etc.
From the minuses:
The clinic is in a very expensive and difficult physically accessible area (on a hill). Despite the fact that we lived side by side (significantly overpaying compared to other areas of Istanbul), we had to use motor transport every day. For a short stay, this is not a problem, but when a longer period is still an inconvenience.
Some translators of the clinic introduced the category of "minuses" of the clinic. People are different, qualification, too, but it was still in a significant minority (our main interpreter was both professional and human).
Again in the minority (!), But for the objectivity to mention, some doctors offered super expensive tests in very standard situations. The hospital was fantastic, room was private, with all required amenities, cafe - lovely, everything was beautiful and clean. Staff were just so accommodating, my Doctor was knowledgeable, explained the procedure in detail. Honestly, I'm in awe from this experience. The coordinator was helpful and provide the information as far as possible. The hospital arranged a native Cantonese speaker who acted as a translator. This arrangement facilitated the communication. The consultation was abit rush as the doctor had other engagement and needed to leave for urgent duties. On the treatment aspect, hope to have more explanation and medical advice.

My dad, radiation therapy, 40 sessions, about 2 months of stay in Istanbul were treated in the clinic. It's still early to speak about the results, therefore the review is exclusively about the process (!) For now.
The choice helped to make bookimed, and I highly recommend using this excellent service. As a user, I would like to name the most basic plus. First and foremost, it is time saving, and in some cases it is equivalent to the preservation of health and life. And what is important, without costs for the patient, there is simply no payment for the company's service.
Moreover, service coordinators are a huge resource for patients. We had Konstantin, and we are very grateful for the help and the choice of the best medical solution (at the price / quality / reputation of the doctor / clinic) and great help in solving logistical issues. When we have to deal with "medical tourism", there are no tourism patients for the patients there: (In addition to the medical problem, there are many practical, financial, coordination issues. It is important to have support on the side of the patient, we are very grateful.
Now about the clinic: in general, the clinic liked, very modern and good equipment (so it was chosen), a good price-quality ratio. .
From the pros: the doctor radiologist and the staff of the radiological department were attentive and in matters of medicine, and just a relationship. 40 sessions are 40 visits to the clinic, it is difficult, both physically and morally.
